We must wait for Where Winds Meet on Xbox. You need to be patient

Where Winds Meet is a free-to-play Wuxia game set in a vast open world, and it’s already catching players’ attention with its impressive visuals. Currently, it’s only available on PC and PlayStation 5, leaving Xbox and mobile gamers out. Good news for mobile players though – a version is confirmed to be in development, though a release date hasn’t been announced yet. Unfortunately, Xbox fans will likely have to wait even longer.

When to expect Where Winds Meet on Xbox

The rivalry between PlayStation and Xbox appears to be cooling down, particularly from Microsoft. While PlayStation still has exclusive games, many of those are eventually released on PC. We occasionally see titles that launch first on PlayStation 5 before becoming available elsewhere, and it looks like Where Winds Meet will follow that pattern.

Okay, so the developers haven’t officially said anything yet, but I’ve been chatting with the mods on the official Where Winds Meet Discord, and they’re pretty upfront about it. They’ve confirmed, without a doubt, that the game has an exclusivity deal – meaning it’s not coming to all platforms at once.

Xbox is waiting at least 6 months cause of ps exclusivity contract

Look, as a fan, I’m really hoping to see Where Winds Meet on Xbox! We haven’t heard anything official yet, so we can’t say for sure, but it’s worth remembering that the game is published by NetEase, and they always bring their games to Xbox. Just look at titles like FragPunk, Once Human, and Naraka Bladepoint – they all ended up on Microsoft consoles eventually. So, while it probably won’t happen immediately, I’m pretty confident we’ll be able to play it on Xbox… we just need to be patient!
