Where Winds Meet (or WWM) is a Wuxia role-playing game gaining popularity for its unique style and difficult gameplay. Players will quickly encounter a challenge located in the Merchant Caravan Gathering, easily accessible after completing the initial quest.

How To Start Echoes in the Shrine & Access General’s Shrine Dungeon

In the game Where Winds Meet, players will begin a quest by heading to the General’s Shrine in Qinghe to find Ruby as part of the opening Main Mission. After locating Ruby and speaking with her near the horse statue, players can then freely explore the surrounding area.

Next, speak to the man bowing at the shrine’s entrance to start the Echoes quest. He’ll mention bowing to the General a thousand times—don’t believe him (it’s only three!), but remember that detail for later.

In the world of Where Winds Meet, you’ll discover tons of things to do, such as exploring the General’s Shrine Dungeon. To uncover hidden secrets, keep an eye out for clues in the environment, chat with Wayfarers you meet, and frequently check your map.

Look for the cracked rocks beside the shrine entrance (on the left). To get into the hidden ruins, you’ll need to do a Power Slam: jump up into the air, then press the ‘Q’ key to slam down on the ground. This will reveal a hidden entrance. Drop down inside to find a room filled with arrows and armor, and also an area you can investigate to learn more about the group operating in this area.

Keep moving forward and open the chest to get about 120 Fire Arrows – you’ll need these to solve the puzzles ahead. To continue, equip the Fire Arrows (use Alt and Mouse Scroll while holding your bow), then shoot the overgrown hedges with a fire arrow to clear the way.

Go down the passage and turn on the light by hitting the lamp. Defeat the enemy hiding in a corner, then continue forward. You’ll eventually find three enemies chatting near three red jars. These jars are explosive – shoot them with Fire Arrows to destroy the enemies.

After defeating the enemies, head forward and activate the Checkpoint in the hallway. You’ll notice a chasm on the left that you can’t jump across. Look up at the ceiling – you’ll see a thick, overgrown hedge blocking the bridge’s controls. Use your Fire Arrows to shoot and clear the hedge.

After the bridge lowers, carefully walk across the wooden plank. If you fall, you’ll return to the Checkpoint, but you’ll lose health and some of your items. Once you reach the other side, you’ll find a small room with a lever. Pull the lever to unlock the door.

Boss Battle And How To Solve General’s Statue Puzzle

The next room contains enemies guarding a point of interest. Defeat them, then search the body to find information and learn the Cloud Steps technique. This skill lets you jump quickly and even dodge sideways to overcome large gaps. It can also stun enemies in battle, so equip it in one of your unlocked skill slots. After that, head to the next area by climbing the stairs and opening the door.

The large room contains multiple enemies and plenty of explosive jars. Use arrows to destroy the jars, then shoot the enemy on the balcony to start a one-on-one fight. This will trigger a boss battle, so watch out for the boss’s powerful attacks. Dodge when it glows red, and parry its yellow attacks to briefly stun it.

The Boss fight is easier than you might expect. After defeating it, you can find rewards – one chest on each of the balconies. Then, head down and interact with the praying mat in front of the General’s Statue. Show your respects three times, and the statue will move, revealing a Treasure Chest hidden behind it.

Head up to the balconies – be sure to grab the chests on either side! Then, push the door open to enter the next room. You’ll find a winding path through the hallways leading to a ladder. Climb the ladder, push open the final doors, and you’ll receive a message confirming you’ve finished the Dungeon.
