KCD2 Cellar Door Key Location (Anamnesis)

In the Mysteria Ecclesiae DLC for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the quest ‘Anamnesis’ begins at Sedletz Monastery. Henry needs to learn about the backgrounds of three patients being treated by the royal doctor, Albich of Uniczow. His investigation will lead him to the monastery’s cellar, possibly connected to clues about the translator Jaroslav, or the maid Blazhena and her supervisor, Steward Zdenyek.

Players may have trouble in two parts of the game: first, when they initially explore the cellar, and second, when Henry is searching for the cellar door key during the Anamnesis section.

Search The Cellar – Anamnesis – Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

No matter who players choose to talk to at the start of the Anamnesis quest, they’ll eventually be sent to the cellars to thoroughly search a large area for clues.

The easiest thing to do is head down the southernmost stairs to the cellar.

Okay, so I just got to the first area, and as soon as I turned right, I spotted some spilled wine on the floor – definitely something to check out. After that, I had to climb over a wooden pole, and it led me right up to a locked door. Now I need to find a way to open it!

This door cannot be lockpicked, nor can Henry knock it down. He must find the key.

Where To Find The Cellar Door Key – Anamnesis – Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Now that Henry has discovered the wine and a locked door, he needs to find the key to the cellar. To avoid frustrating players, the key isn’t located in the cellar itself.

Talk To Steward Zdenyek & Valerie

After finding Zdenyek – you can ask any of the maids or workers for his location – he’ll tell Henry to speak with Valerie, a friend of Blazhena.

She’s going to share that Zdenyek took something from Blazhena and hid it in a cellar that only he can enter.

Search Zdenyek’s Cellar

Players can start by following the quest marker for ‘Search Blazhena’s room’. This will show them that Blazhena has a lot of Groschen, and the Pantry Key near her bed can be helpful later on.

Players should then search the cellar where Zdenyek is located. This cellar is smaller than the one under the monastery. Each room within contains clues to examine.

I’ve figured out that one door needs the Pantry Key, but the rest of them need to be lockpicked. Or, if I’m sneaky enough, Henry can actually pickpocket the keys from Zdenyek! The last room on the right is where things get interesting – that’s where Henry finds out Zdenyek’s been watering down the monastery wine! What a jerk!

Confront Zdenyek & Get The Key From Him

Now that Henry has the proof he needed, he can finally confront Zdenyek, who will reveal everything. The object Zdenyek took from Blazhena is actually the key to the monastery cellar – exactly what Henry has been searching for.

Having a high Speech skill will help with conversations like these.

When Zdenyek asks, follow him through the hop field. He’ll give you Blazhena’s Key. This will unlock a new objective: finding a hidden room in the cellar, where you can uncover more of the story.
