Long-time friends and collaborators Johnny Depp and Al Pacino reunite for the premiere of their new movie Modi: Three Days On The Wing Of Madness

Johnny Depp and Al Pacino, who have been friends for years, came together Tuesday night at the premiere of their latest film in Beverly Hills, California.

The two were visibly happy and posed for photos at the premiere of ‘Modi: Three Days On The Wing Of Madness‘ held at the Writers Guild Theater.

Both Johnny and Al wore black outfits. Johnny’s included a black suit jacket and pants.

For the premiere, Al chose a shirt and trousers, topping it off with a stylish, full-length coat. He added black sunglasses and finished the outfit with suede loafers.

The famous actor Al embraced a close friend while posing for photos before going inside the movie screening.

The men have been close friends for many years, ever since they first worked together on the 1997 mob movie, Donnie Brasco.

As a lifestyle expert, I always appreciate a good story, and this one’s a classic! Johnny took on the role of an undercover FBI agent, and Al absolutely nailed it as the head of a powerful crime family. The whole plot revolved around the authorities trying to dismantle that network – talk about suspenseful!

The actors also appeared in the 2011 Adam Sandler comedy Jack and Jill and the 2016 film Hell’s Club Part 2: Another Night.

After working together on Donnie Brasco, they became close friends and have often been seen spending time together in public.

They’re working together again, with Johnny directing his latest movie.

Al produced the feature movie, which is based on Italian artist Amedeo Modigliani.

The story centers on a free-spirited artist searching for a place to live, all while avoiding danger from bombs, the police, and complicated relationships.

Johnny Depp, known for his role in Pirates of the Caribbean, once shared stories with the late Larry King about their experiences working together on set.

Honestly, I was completely obsessed with him. Being around him was the best – he just had this way of making me laugh, every single day. It was amazing, truly. I just adored him as a person.

‘He’s really nuts, too. He’ll say I’m nuts, but he’s really nuts.’

Last year, Al enthusiastically praised his friendship with Johnny, describing him as lively and amazing, in an interview.

Before their new movie came out, he told PEOPLE that working with his co-star was a lot of fun. He described him as a creative and energetic person.

I’m collaborating with Johnny again, and we occasionally work together. He’s a really energetic and talented person – he even jokes that we’re like two kids sometimes! He’s just wonderfully unpredictable.

Al added that he considers their bond ‘real’ despite not getting to see each other regularly.

He shared that he has a small circle of close friends, and he feels sad about the fact that people pass away or drift apart as you get older.

Going to New York is strange for me because I keep thinking about people I used to know who lived in the area – people like so-and-so who lived just around the corner, and so-and-so who used to be nearby.

Al summed it up by saying his life and connection to the city were all about the people who lived there. Now that they’re gone, it feels strange and isolating, like being stranded on a deserted planet.

Johnny and Al reunited in Paris in 2023 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their film, Donnie Brasco.
