Do you enjoy taking on the challenges presented by FromSoftware games to make them even more demanding? If that sounds like you, then you’ll be thrilled to hear that Elden Ring is introducing a new difficulty level called “Deep of Night.
Beginning September 11th, seasoned players who have traversed The Night multiple times will have an opportunity to engage in a challenging game mode that promises increased difficulty. However, let me clarify what makes this mode particularly tough:
This mode is designed for those players who are already quite proficient and have faced The Night numerous times. But what sets it apart from the regular gameplay is its enhanced level of challenge. This means that players will encounter more complex scenarios, tougher enemies, and more challenging obstacles to overcome. So if you’re up for a real test of your skills and strategy, this new mode should provide quite the thrill!
Initially, it’s crucial to note that the adversaries you encounter will be significantly tougher. Moreover, unlike before, you won’t have the luxury of picking which Nightlord to confront, meaning you’ll need to ready yourself for any and all of them.
In the Deep of Night challenge mode, you’ll encounter some mysterious artifacts called Depth Relics, which are exclusive finds. Their purpose remains unknown, but their allure is undeniable. Furthermore, expect to discover weapons that come with extra effects; however, keep in mind that a few of these may potentially harm you.
Much like Bloodborne’s Chalice Dungeons, the difficulty of the Deep of Night challenge grows progressively tougher as you delve deeper into it. Bandai Namco explains that the ratings will change depending on your victories and defeats, influencing its ‘depth.’ They suggest attempting to surpass Depth 3 for a challenging experience.
As a seasoned gamer, diving into Depths 4 and 5 will pit me against an endless battle! This is my chance to prove my gaming skills and endure as long as I can. Check out Bandai Namco’s detailed breakdown of this exciting new feature right here.
On the online forum ResetEra, fans are playfully bantering about the possibility of FromSoftware introducing adjustable difficulty levels for their games. One comment humorously suggests: “Monkey’s paw granted! FromSoftware adds difficulty settings – it’s now hard mode!
