Following several months of largely unfavorable reviews on Steam, Monster Hunter Worlds appears to have made progress and now receives a “Generally Negative” rating more recently. However, there is still significant potential for enhancements, particularly regarding the PC version’s performance.
Ever since February, fans have been vocal about Capcom needing to rectify the PC version of Monster Hunter Worlds. Despite multiple updates aiming to address major issues, numerous performance problems persist among players today. A significant update in late June targeted fixes for the PC port, but it didn’t quite convince everyone that all was well.
The current Steam page for Monster Hunter Wilds shows some improvement in reviews compared to earlier, moving from “Overwhelmingly Negative” to “Mostly Negative”. However, recent negative feedback still highlights issues, particularly concerning the game’s performance on PC. One player even reported experiencing a problem where the screen turns completely black during cutscenes despite the game starting up fine.
The player humorously suggests taking a break to play Monster Hunter World, implying increased enjoyment due to improved reviews. Now, the game has risen above the 20% review score mark, with one enthusiast describing it as a game that could potentially consume hundreds of hours, but only if your computer is capable of running it smoothly.
