So, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission – bless their hearts – are currently ‘reviewing’ a bunch of applications for XRP ETFs. Which, let’s be honest, is code for ‘making everyone wait and feel mildly anxious’. Apparently, crypto needs to have been messing around in futures markets for six months (thanks, Coinbase derivatives exchange!), before it’s deemed worthy of ETF status. The rules, darling, *the rules*.
Canada’s already had a field day with XRP ETFs since June 2025, casually sipping lattes while we’re over here staring into the abyss of SEC deadlines. They reckon they’ll give us a final decision – oh, the drama! – by October 2025. You know, just in time for… well, October 2025.
Currently, we have *one* approved one: the ProShares Ultra XRP ETF. Which sounds…intense. Leveraged and inverse XRP strategies? Honestly, it’s all a bit much. Filed way back in January 2025. The SEC finally let it loose on NYSE Arca in mid-July. Progress, I suppose. Baby steps. 🐢

- Franklin Templeton XRP ETF: Filed in March (details, details!). October 25, 2025 is the day. Because why not add another to the pile?
- CoinShares: Filed January 24, 2025, acknowledged on February 19, 2025. Deadline? You guessed it: October 25, 2025. They’re really committed to that date, aren’t they?
- RexShares Rex-Osprey XRP ETF: Filed January 21, 2025. The SEC already missed *a* deadline (July 25th). Clearly, suspense is their favourite game.
