Wuchang: Fallen Feathers Developer Apologizes For Performance Issues, Outlines Plans For Fixes

Last week saw the launch of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, and despite receiving positive reviews from critics, it currently holds a mixed rating on Steam. The reason for this discrepancy appears to be optimization issues as suggested by several player reviews. However, today, developer Leenzee has addressed these problems in a statement, outlining their plans to rectify the current issues with the game.

Initially, we’d like to extend our heartfelt apologies for any inconvenience experienced due to the problems faced during the launch of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. We truly value your patience and understanding as we navigate through these challenges. Your feedback and experiences serve as a crucial base for us. Rest assured, we will soon share detailed information about the game content with you.

One problem that has arisen with the game thus far involves preorder bonuses, since an update rolled out on July 25 failed to distribute these bonuses correctly to every player. To make up for this, individuals who possess the deluxe edition of the game through Steam will receive three additional sets of deluxe costumes and four weapons as a bonus. Furthermore, both standard and deluxe edition owners will gain access to three headgear items across all platforms.

Regarding the game’s performance and optimization concerns, Leenzee clarified that they will persistently work on resolving these issues and make necessary changes based on your feedback – like difficulty levels and boss fights – in future updates. They also provided a sneak peek into their “recent optimization endeavors,” which encompass various aspects such as rectifying crashes, boosting frame rates, minimizing lag with specific graphics cards, enhancing AI logic for monsters and bosses, upgrading texture quality in low-resolution regions, and refining asset detail and precision in certain areas.

Leenzee concluded the post with a request for your understanding as they work through the optimizations, one at a time.

Hey there! As a fellow gaming enthusiast, I’ve been grappling with some performance hiccups in this new title, but if you’re still intrigued about whether it’s worth giving it a shot, I’d highly recommend checking out the review for Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.
