In the beginning of your Soulframe journey, you’ll encounter the Torment Stag mission. To gain entry into the Garren Rood alliance later on, this task must be accomplished first. During this mission, search for the hidden glade where the Torment Stag is confined, and discover a means to liberate it from its prison.

During this journey, you’ll find yourself heavily dependent on your guiding sparrow. Prepare yourself for frequent usage of that button. Initially, adhere to the instructions provided by the guiding spirit, which will lead you towards adversaries. These enemies will keep a creature captive in a cage, so eliminate them and afterward engage with the cage to liberate the animal. To your surprise, it turns out to be Avakot, an interesting character whom you’ll come to know more about as the game progresses.

Engage with Avakot and inquire about any information he may have. If he knows something, he will share details about a secluded glen that seems eerily similar to the one we are searching for. He might ask for compensation, specifically 80 Dracs, but you’ll find yourself with these options:

1. Pay him and follow the lead.
2. Decline his offer and continue your search elsewhere.
3. Attempt to negotiate a lower price or alternative arrangement.

  • Pay 80 Dracs
  • I could crate you up again…(Courage)
  • You’d rather the Ode have him? (Spirit)
  • I’m a little, uh, short… (Grace)

I chose “Wouldn’t he prefer the Ode to keep him?” and he became less self-centered and relinquished the necessary information. Once you have gathered the required details, it’s time to descend into the well located behind Avakot. Navigate through the underground passages, and you will eventually reach Dermak’s Undercity. Feel free to roam around at your leisure, but remember that your primary objective is to adhere strictly to your guiding sparrow until you reach the end. This tiny companion will consistently steer you towards the correct path.

In the room ahead, you’ll find four deer statues and a big closed door. To proceed further, arrange these statues as shown in the image so they can unlock the door for you to pass through. Please note that the orientation of the statues is not based on compass directions, but rather relative to the direction where the door lies.

  • Top Left – facing right
  • Top Right – facing left
  • Bottom left – facing left
  • Bottom right – facing left

Once the statues are properly aligned, the door will swing open, allowing you to proceed further. Coming up next is an encounter with Lady Deora and the Tormented Stag. You’ll witness a cut scene before engaging in a battle against Lady Deora, who torments the stag. These battles are straightforward, focusing mainly on basic block and dodge maneuvers to emerge victorious.
