Elton John is aided by husband David Furnish as he heads to Valentino’s Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week show

Elton John arrived at the Valentino show in Paris during Haute Couture Fashion Week with his husband, David Furnish.

The 78-year-old singer looked stylish and smart, wearing a bright red blazer with a black shirt and pants.

The hitmaker held hands with artist manager David, 63, as he made his arrival.

Oh my gosh, did you see David? He looked absolutely incredible! He and Sir Elton have been together since 2014, and honestly, he just gets more stylish. He was wearing this gorgeous light grey blazer, paired with a red striped jumper – the colors were perfect on him! – and classic black trousers. I seriously couldn’t take my eyes off him!

The couple recently celebrated the New Year with their sons, Zachary and Elijah, who rarely appear in public.

Despite facing the difficulties of blindness, the singer celebrated the arrival of 2026 with a stylish appearance at Donatella Versace’s party.

At the event, Elton posed for pictures wearing a black blazer with a floral collar.

It was such a lovely moment! I was beaming alongside a truly iconic Italian fashion designer, and of course, my wonderful husband David and our two boys, Zachary and Elijah. Family time is everything, and sharing it with such a creative force was special.

Elton John shared on Instagram, thanking Donatella Versace and Edward Enninful for a wonderful New Year’s Eve party. He called it the perfect start to 2026.

Donatella commented: ‘I love you so so much Elton! No better way to start 2026.’

Over the past few months, Elton hasn’t been able to fully enjoy some of his more glamorous events because he’s been dealing with vision loss.

Last month, he admitted the last 15 months have been ‘challenging’ amid his battle with blindness.

In July 2024, the famous musician developed a serious eye infection that caused him to lose sight in his right eye and significantly reduced vision in his left eye.

Elton John recently shared a difficult update about his vision, revealing he’s been unable to see, watch TV, or read for over a year.

It’s been a really difficult time,” he shared with Variety. “Losing sight in my right eye, and having limited vision in my left, meant I couldn’t see, watch, or read anything for over a year, which was incredibly frustrating.

I’ve been very fortunate to live a full life, and I remain optimistic. I’m holding out hope that science will eventually find a solution for my current health challenge. Once that happens, I’m confident I’ll be okay. It feels similar to the progress made with AIDS.

Never lose hope. Stay strong and resilient, and always keep striving to make things better, no matter how difficult it seems.

Elton mentioned he’s been receiving treatment and has noticed some improvement in his left eye.

Even with his health challenges, Elton John has stayed upbeat. He recently shared with The Times that he’s lost the ability to watch TV or read, and it’s hard not being able to see his sons play sports – something he always enjoyed and misses greatly. It’s been a difficult and stressful time for him.

It’s upsetting, and it definitely brings on strong feelings. But I’m trying to accept it, knowing how fortunate I am with my life.

He shared that despite everything, he’s grateful for his family and still has some vision in his left eye. He believes the best approach is to simply keep moving forward.

Elton John playfully mentioned in the interview that his sons have moved on from their Eego and Star Wars toys and are now completely obsessed with rap music.
