The blazing event known as Flamefete, the Festival of Harmony, has made its grand entrance into Monster Hunter Wilds! This occasion is introducing some of the game’s most humorous features to date, such as the comeback of the Mighty Cornpopper.
For those unacquainted with the amusing gunlance known as the Mighty Cornpopper, this unique weapon made its initial appearance in Monster Hunter Rise and has since become a beloved staple among Capcom’s most recognized arsenals. Its design is reminiscent of a colossal cob of corn, and, as one would expect, it fires popcorn at enemies. Now back for another round with the Sunbreak expansion, three years after its initial release, it could very well become one of the top-tier weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds as well.
Although the Cornpopper is undeniably a standout, it’s not the sole exciting development from this summer’s Festival of Accord. As Capcom hints in the Flamefete trailer, the Grand Hub is set to undergo an upgrade, perfectly timed for the arrival of hot girl season. From beach balls to fireworks, there’s no dearth of summer-themed content – and indeed, this update encompasses camp decorations and outfits for players as well as the action RPG’s NPCs such as Gemma and Erik.
During the Flamefete festival, running until August 5th, Fabius will join the roster of support hunters available. If you often use the SOS flare like me, you’ll have a wider array of helpers to rescue you. Additionally, during the Festival of Accord, you can collect event tickets. These tickets can be swapped for the Afi α armor set and Felyne Afi α Palico gear. There’s more too!
