In simpler terms, the selection of games offered through PlayStation Plus Essential in July might appear routine, however, this month carries significant importance for PlayStation. The 29th of July marks the 15th anniversary of the subscription service and to commemorate this milestone, Sony has revealed a lineup of special “activities.
Kickstarting things are two game trials for PlayStation Plus Premium: “WWE 2K25” and “Monster Hunter Wilds“. The first one is ready for play now, while the second will become accessible on June 30th. If you’ve been curious about these games (and their praise as well as criticisms), this is an excellent chance to dive in.
Notable events include a special weekend deal on the PlayStation Store starting from June 27th, featuring discounted games such as “Sniper Elite: Resistance”, “Sid Meier’s Civilization VII”, and “Star Wars Outlaws”. Additionally, multiplayer will be free-to-play from June 28th at 12:01 AM to June 29th at 11:59 PM in your local time zone, no subscription needed.
