According to the Shibburn tracking platform, a whopping 1,173,981,855 SHIB coins have been destroyed in the past seven days. That’s a lot of… whatever SHIB coins are.
The burn rate has skyrocketed to 933.05%, which sounds impressive until you realize that it’s not like the coins are being burned at a steady rate. Nope, it turns out that about half of those 1.7 billion SHIB coins were transferred to an unspendable blockchain wallet in a single transfer.
