A New Elden Ring Nightreign Mod Gives an Early Glimpse at Its Enhanced Bosses
Software from FromSoftware hinted mysteriously about improved battles with the major bosses in Elden Ring: Nightreign, which should be coming out at some point this month. However, a modder has unearthed some actual components for these new battles and managed to make them playable as well.
Starting this month, the official Elden Ring account announced that in addition to the Nightreign’s DLC coming later this year and the Duo Expeditions feature, there will be improved battles against existing Nightlords within Nightreign. No further specifics were disclosed, but this news served as a hint for fans to begin investigating.
Modder TerraMag, as noted by PC Gamer, successfully unearthed the in-game boss material that’s currently hidden, and created a mod to make this content playable. Crucially, these are preliminary versions derived from the improved data sets that were already discovered within the game files.
It appears that TerraMag’s findings (as demonstrated in YouTube videos) suggest there could be additional stages for several characters from the Nightlords faction, such as Adel, Libra, and Caligo. These extra stages might introduce new abilities, alter the design of bosses, and offer numerous innovative methods to defeat Nightfarers.
Absolutely, these are still works in progress and haven’t been rolled out yet, so they offer just a sneak peek at what might materialize when the updated battles come our way later this month. For players who are finding the current boss battles repetitive, this could provide an engaging challenge and incentive to revisit the ever-changing Lands once more.
