Former Corrie star Richard Fleeshman marries glamorous Dutch actress in an ‘unforgettable’ country wedding

I’m so thrilled to share the wonderful news that Richard Fleeshman and Celinde Schoenmaker are officially married! They actually got engaged four years ago, and I’ve been eagerly awaiting this day ever since. It’s just lovely to see them finally tie the knot.

Former Coronation Street actor, age 36, and the Rocketman actress, 37, appeared deeply in love as they got married in a beautiful, private ceremony with family in Cumbria.

The actor who played Craig Harris on ITV, and his partner Celinde, shared photos and videos on Instagram of their special day, calling it ‘unforgettable’.

The couple, who began dating in 2018, were filmed walking outside as their family and friends celebrated with confetti after their wedding.

Celinde looked stunning in her white, off-the-shoulder wedding dress and veil as she and her partner posed for pictures. Afterwards, they shared a quiet dance just the two of them.

Last weekend, we got married at our special place, The Country House Diaries, with only our families there to celebrate with us.

Having three generations of our family together under one roof for the first time in eleven years was a truly special occasion. We’re so grateful to our wonderful friends, Ben and Paul, who made it happen – we love you both very much!

Richard received an outpouring of congratulatory messages in the comments from many of his celebrity friends, including Claire Sweeney, Catherine Tyldesley, and Giovanna Fletcher.

In 2024, Richard and Celinde welcomed their first child, a daughter called Coco Beau Fleeshman. 

Celinde announced the birth of her daughter, Coco Beau Fleeshman, in a heartwarming post. She shared that Coco arrived at 8:08 AM on November 30, 2024, bringing immense joy to her and her family. ‘We love you beyond words,’ she wrote with a heart emoji. ❤️

Celinde is a well-known performer who has appeared in popular West End shows like Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera, and Guys and Dolls.

Richard became part of Coronation Street in 2002 when he was 12 years old. In 2006, he won the show Soapstar Superstar, showcasing his singing ability and earning £200,000 for charity. He departed from the soap opera the same year.

Since then, he’s been in popular shows like Midsomer Murders and Call the Midwife. Currently, he plays Lt. James Brice in the sci-fi series, The Ark.

Richard has also performed in West End productions, including the stage adaptation of the film Ghost, which originally starred Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore.

As well as being well known on both stage and screen, Richard is a singer songwriter.

The multi-talented star even supported Elton John on tour in 2008 on three occasions.

The actor’s Instagram shows him performing with Sting on a few separate occasions.

In a video posted to his Instagram he is singing with the Every Breath You Take singer, Sting.

The actor shared excitement about the first preview of ‘The Last Ship,’ calling the entire process incredibly fulfilling. They expressed admiration for the talented cast and how they’ve brought the show’s wonderful music and story to life, wishing everyone a successful launch.

Richard’s mother is actress Sue Jenkies who also starred in the soap as Gloria Todd in the 1980s.
