Where to find Incantations and seals

We’ve noticed that incantations are certain to appear in hidden sanctuaries beneath cathedrals, but not all cathedrals contain them. In our observations, it seems that only cathedrals inhabited by fire monks or spectral soldiers have subterranean chambers. Cathedrals with a golem within or an Oracle Envoys squad typically do not possess underground spaces, but there will be a corner on the ground floor where a small shrine containing seals can be found instead.

After locating the correct cathedral, descend through the central underground opening. Continue on the path and take a right turn. Soon you’ll encounter a small shrine, and engaging with it will yield two seals, each carrying two Incantations. The specific Incantations associated with these seals are randomly determined, much like every other weapon in Nightreign.

Additionally, you may encounter a common boss in the room facing the shrine, it could be a bigger monk or solider. Venture into that room to potentially gather more Runes and an additional item drop.

At Limveld, you’ll discover a shrine reminiscent of Stormhill Shack. Although the shack isn’t explicitly marked on the map, if you look over the map while it’s displayed, you’ll spot an icon showing a seal that doesn’t relate to any merchant.

When it comes to the merchants, you might find a common seal among their wares, but keep in mind that what they have changes with each journey, so there’s no guarantee that you’ll always come across seals.

There’s a possibility of getting an Incantation either by overcoming a field boss or the one that emerges during the night; however, it appears the likelihood is relatively small.

Where to find magic and staves

In certain areas, you’ll discover places where the staffs used for casting magical spells are ensured. Interestingly, these spots are quite accessible, even though they might be concentrated in specific locales, such as the tall tower atop the grand castle in Limveld. Inside this tower, you’ll find a small room with a map that pinpoints scarab locations on your own map and a rack containing two staffs. Smaller forts across these areas will also have similar towers, each equipped with a comparable map and an additional pair of staffs.

Generally speaking, we find that items like bosses and enemies tend to yield drops more frequently than Incantations, but the occurrence remains infrequent unless you’re playing as the Recluse.
