Harvey Keitel, 86, and wife, 65, step out on rare outing with Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, and more stars

Actor Harvey Keitel, famous for his work in films like Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs, was seen out with his wife, Daphna Kastner, on Friday evening.

The 86-year-old actor and his 65-year-old co-star celebrated her birthday with a dinner at Nobu Malibu, joined by several famous friends.

The couple, married since 2001, was seen with actors Al Pacino, 85, Robert De Niro, 82, and Tobey Maguire, 50, as well as other people.

Keitel looked sharp in a black outfit – a sweater, blazer, and pants – and cool sunglasses. He neatly combed back his white and grey hair.

Meanwhile Kastner looked beautiful in a long, beige dress and matching patterned coat.

She also wore slightly tinted eyewear, and her long blonde hair flowed freely.

Pacino wore a satin, grey, button-up shirt topped by a single-buttoned black blazer.

Like his friend Keitel, he also wore sunglasses and his grey hair was neatly combed back.

Oh my gosh, when I saw him, he was trying to be low-key, you know? Just a simple black baseball cap and a black sweater. But even with that, and the slightly rugged, salt-and-pepper beard he was sporting, he was still totally recognizable! It was amazing.

Keitel and Kastner are parents to one son, Roman, who was born in 2004.

Keitel has two children from earlier relationships: Stella, born in 1985 to actress Lorraine Bracco, and Hudson, born in 2001 to Lisa Karmazin.

The family lives in New York City and generally keeps to themselves, avoiding a lot of public attention.

In 2021, Keitel recounted how he first met Kastner more than two decades prior, explaining that Robert De Niro had helped bring them together.

You know, people always ask me how my wife and I met! It’s a fun story – it was back in the 80s, and I was in Rome at a party celebrating Robert. That’s where we first connected, and the rest, as they say, is history! I shared the story on The Late Show a while back.

I treated her to dinner at Dal Bolognese Roma, and I called her again the next night. She accepted, and we enjoyed another dinner together.

He said he’d invited her back to his hotel room for a drink, but she politely declined. He also mentioned he’d treated her to an expensive meal at a nice restaurant, and chuckled as he recalled the evening.

He explained that he didn’t see Kastner for another 17 years, until they ran into each other again at a party thrown by De Niro.

He remembered buying dinner for a woman – twice at Dal Bolognese seventeen years ago. That woman turned out to be his wife, Daphna, and they’ve been together ever since.

About seven weeks later, I was heading to a film festival in Italy and invited her to join me. She happily accepted.

He went on with the story, explaining that during the flight he’d asked her to marry him. Her response was simple and perfect: she said, “Okay.”

Finishing the story, the famous actor revealed, ‘The biggest surprise was that we got pregnant about a year later, and our son was born on the same day as Robert De Niro’s birthday.’
