Following the success both critically and commercially of Elden Ring, it was hardly surprising that this intellectual property wouldn’t be disappearing any time soon. Indeed, it’s been advancing significantly in its attempts to grow further, as demonstrated by Bandai Namco’s official announcement that they are collaborating with producer A24 to create a live-action adaptation of the FromSoftware-developed action RPG.
The upcoming movie titled “Elden Ring” is set to be helmed by acclaimed director Alex Garland, recognized for his work in “Civil War” and “Warfare”. Notably, Garland will also pen the script for this film. George R.R. Martin, renowned for creating the universe of “A Song of Ice and Fire”, which forms the basis of the “Elden Ring” game, is set to produce this movie. He will be joined by Vince Gerardis, along with Peter Rice, Andrew Macdonald, and Allon Reich from DNA.
The game titled Elden Ring is playable on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and personal computers. Later this year, it will also be accessible on the Nintendo Switch 2, though a precise release date has yet to be disclosed. Furthermore, a multiplayer spinoff called Elden Ring Nightreign is set to debut on May 30.
