It’s real: A live-action Elden Ring movie from A24 and Alex Garland is in the works
It was hard to believe the whispers about an Elden Ring film were just speculation, but today, Bandai Namco officially announced they are collaborating with A24 on a real-life Elden Ring movie.
In this upcoming movie, it’s Alex Garland – famed for creating masterpieces like Civil War, Annihilation, Men, and Ex Machina – who will be both the writer and director. Interestingly enough, he has also penned the scripts for 28 Days Later and Dredd in the past.
George RR Martin, who had a hand in Elden Ring’s lore, is on board as a producer.
Earlier in May, we first learned about the project, however, an article that confirmed it was removed, and no formal declaration regarding its existence has been made yet.
In other updates about Elden Ring, the cooperative spin-off titled “Elden Ring: Nightreign” is almost ready for launch – it’s scheduled to drop on May 29th.
