Atomfall 2 Discussions Already Underway
Summary
- Atomfall’s unexpected success has prompted discussions of a sequel due to its profitability.
- DLC, sequels, and spin-offs are being considered for Atomfall, with a focus on future content.
- The game has been well-received, offering an immersive world with the potential for more content in the future.
Among this year’s unexpected hits, one that stands out is Atomfall by Rebellion. This action game, developed by the team behind Sniper Elite, has left quite an impression because it strays significantly from their usual projects, venturing into the creation of a highly ambitious game instead.
If you’re hoping for more Atomfall, you’re in luck, as it seems a sequel is already being planned.
Atomfall 2 Already Being Discussed Given First Game Was Profitable

As a gaming enthusiast here, I’d like to share some insights from a chat with the boss at Rebellion, Jason Kingsley. He revealed that our latest game, Atomfall, made a profit the moment it dropped on Xbox Game Pass, no strings attached! No need for extra sales or promotions to see green – it was an instant success!
With additional content on the way for the game, there’s also a possibility of sequels and offshoots in the future. Kingsley mentioned (via Eurogamer), “Now that Atomfall has seen such success, we face the question of what lies ahead for Atomfall. As for the future, we’ve got DLC in the works,” he continued, hinting at discussions about sequels and potential spin-offs.
It seems quite likely that the game’s players would embrace a sequel, considering that the studio declared it as their biggest launch success ever.
Should Atomfall resemble the Sniper Elite series, anticipate a generous portion of downloadable content (DLC) and free updates from Rebellion.
If you haven’t played Atomfall yet, you can access it through Game Pass. However, if you don’t subscribe to the service or prefer playing on PS4 or PS5, you should still be excited as the game seems to have exceeded expectations. Our review commended it highly, saying “Creating Immersive Sims is incredibly challenging, but Atomfall deserves a lot of recognition for going against the norm and offering an open-world design that defies almost every established convention. But what’s even more impressive is how well it does this, crafting an immersive, captivating, and awe-inspiring world.
We’re eagerly anticipating the rollout of additional Atomfall content, and as soon as Rebellion shares more, you’ll hear about it here at TopMob.
