Meghan Trainor sells $6.8m LA mansion the same day she pulls plug on tour

Meghan Trainor sold her large Los Angeles home on the same day she announced the cancellation of her tour.

I was so excited to hear that Meghan Trainor just sold her Studio City home for $6.835 million! It happened so quickly – apparently, it was only on the market for about a week, according to TMZ. It’s amazing how fast things move when you’re a superstar like her!

I’ve been following her for a while now, and I remember when she bought that amazing property back in 2020 from Doug Jordan for $6.6 million. It’s incredible, but honestly, when she just sold it, the profit wasn’t as huge as I expected – it was a pretty quick turnaround, but not a massive win financially.

This stunning home covers approximately 14,164 square feet and is set on a large 1.09-acre lot. It features seven bedrooms and ten bathrooms.

However, the real highlights are the amazing amenities, like a pool with a waterslide, a professional recording studio, a gym with mirrored walls, and a full-sized basketball court.

The move comes amid a wave of personal and professional reshuffling for the pop star.

She has also confirmed she is scrapping her Get In Girl Tour to focus on family life.

This comes after it was revealed she’s been undergoing intensive therapy to address issues in her marriage with Daryl Sabara.

The recently purchased home features a grand circular driveway and a stunning main house with high ceilings and a modern design.

The home welcomes you with a stunning double staircase, leading into bright and spacious living and dining areas. The chef’s kitchen is designed for easy entertaining, seamlessly connecting to the outdoors.

The house also boasts a fully equipped recording studio on the ground floor, complete with its own separate entrance – it’s exactly the kind of feature you’d expect in a home like this.

The second floor features five bedrooms, including a luxurious primary suite. This suite boasts two large walk-in closets, a spa-like bathroom with dual showers, and a private terrace – perfect for enjoying the Los Angeles lifestyle.

The property boasts a luxurious outdoor space, complete with a pool, spa, tennis court, putting green, fire pit, comfortable lounge areas, and a covered dining area.

The extravagance doesn’t stop there – the space also features a complete arcade, boasting a violet pool table, shooting games with toy guns, and at least one pinball machine.

She lives among Hollywood’s biggest stars, with reports that Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, Joe and Sophie Jonas, and Selena Gomez and Jennifer Lopez are all her neighbors.

Nearly a decade ago, she also snapped up Bing Crosby’s former Toluca Lake residence.

This home has a glamorous history – it was once owned by Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green, and was even showcased on the Bravo TV show, Flipping Out.

Between November 2014 and April 2015, the couple was having their house renovated by Jeff Lewis and his crew.

The extensive remodel, which was expected to cost more than $1.5 million, was suddenly canceled when the couple decided not to move forward with the renovation.

Trainor was set to begin her Get In Girl Tour on June 12th in Michigan, with over 30 shows planned across North America after that.

But on Thursday, she took to Instagram to break the news directly to fans.

‘After a lot of reflection and some really tough conversations, I’ve made the difficult decision to cancel The Get In Girl Tour,’ Trainor wrote.

She explained that juggling the new album launch, getting ready for a national tour, and the recent arrival of their fifth child has been incredibly overwhelming.

The singer said she now needs to focus on being at ‘home and present’ for her loved ones.

‘I know this will come as a disappointment to my fans, and I am so sorry to let you down.’

Trainor explained that canceling the summer shows is what’s best for her and her family at this time.

She comforted her fans by saying she’d be returning shortly and is eager for them to listen to her upcoming album.

The star is still set to release her seventh studio album Toy With Me later this month on April 24.

I was really surprised to read an interview with Meghan Trainor just before everything changed with her tour and the house sale. She talked about how she and Daryl Sabara, her husband, had been going to marriage counseling to work through some issues they were having. It was a pretty honest conversation, and honestly, a little heartbreaking to hear they were going through that right before all the big news.

The singer of ‘All About That Bass’ shared that she’s been going to therapy, and that it helped her work through problems in her relationships while making her new album.

She shared that she and her husband went to marriage counseling while she was working on the album, and now their relationship is thriving – she even recommends counseling to others.

Raising young children – from ages one to five – often puts a strain on your marriage. You start to realize you’re arguing over things that don’t matter, and you need to remember you’re supposed to be partners.

We began couples therapy because we noticed that even during small disagreements, it felt like we were experiencing completely different versions of events. It was like we weren’t even seeing the same things happening.

‘We would even say in our fights, “Hey, we’re not even fighting about the same thing.”‘

Trainor explained that she and Sabara now prioritize resolving disagreements before going to sleep, emphasizing that open communication is essential for their relationship.
