Chloe Sims has revealed the brutal moment she realised she wasn’t famous in Los Angeles.

Gemma Collins, 44, became well-known on the reality TV show TOWIE in 2011. She left the show in 2022 and moved to Los Angeles with her sisters. There, they now live and film their own reality series, House of Sims, which is inspired by the Kardashians.

Chloe recently shared on the Boyfriend Material podcast with Harry Jowsey that she wasn’t greeted as warmly as she’d hoped.

Speaking on the podcast, she said: ‘Nobody cares about me here. Literally no one gives a f**k.’ 

Harry replied: ‘There’s so much celebrity culture here too.’ 

Chloe added that she was conflicted about it – she couldn’t decide if she liked it or not. While it offered a chance to live a more normal life, it also had some significant drawbacks.

As a huge fan, I was so fascinated to hear her talk about moving to the US and really trying to build a name for herself. It was actually quite humbling to learn that she quickly discovered people didn’t recognize her there – it really showed her she had to start from scratch!

She recalled a time when she’d receive compliments on her hair while using the restroom in London, often responding in kind. She later realized these compliments were likely due to her appearance on the reality show TOWIE.

After I moved to Los Angeles, I realized people weren’t very friendly. It was strange being in a place where nobody knew who I was – I was just another face in the crowd.

Even though things haven’t always been easy, Chloe is still enjoying life in Los Angeles and says living in the US has been wonderful so far.

She described life in Los Angeles as fantastic, explaining that she feels like a different person there. She’s enjoyed a break from the pressures of fame, but ultimately hopes to become well-known in the city.

We arrived in America with no prior knowledge or connections. We had a place to stay for a month, but we were totally unfamiliar with the area!

It’s been a bit of a reality check being here – even making a simple restaurant reservation is difficult when you’re not well-known. I’ve definitely had to adjust my expectations.

This news follows Chloe’s disclosure that she was offered free cosmetic surgery after joining the popular reality show, The Only Way Is Essex.

The TV star has always been honest about having cosmetic surgery, and it’s rumored she’s spent more than £100,000 on changing her look.

The actress recently revealed that when she started on the show, she was constantly pressured to have cosmetic surgery. She recalls being offered ‘every surgery imaginable’ and ultimately deciding to get a breast augmentation.

In a conversation on the We Need To Talk podcast with Paul Brunson, she described the fashion of that time as overly focused on a very specific body type – extremely thin with a large bust, similar to the look of classic glamour models.

I used to be really focused on getting a larger chest, believing it would solve all my problems. Once I achieved that, when I started appearing on TOWIE, I was suddenly offered all kinds of cosmetic procedures.

She explained that she could have gotten anything she desired without paying. But she decided to aim higher, and surprisingly, it almost worked out. Unfortunately, there just wasn’t enough room for what she wanted.

Chloe told her surgeon she desired a noticeably enhanced and artificial-looking bust, and the surgeon responded that they would do their best to achieve her desired result.

After waking up from surgery, her surgeon explained that the breast implants she’d chosen were too large for her body.

Chloe needed a smaller breast implant – one that was the right size for her body and wouldn’t cause any health problems.

Sometimes, surgeons must decline to use very large implants on patients with smaller chests. Using implants that are too big can increase the risk of complications like infection, stretched skin, and tissue death.

Chloe also revealed during the interview that she still has her breast implants, but she’s been considering having them removed for some time.

She explained that she doesn’t want to undergo surgery just to remove something she dislikes. She doesn’t want them anymore, feels they don’t look good, and usually tries to conceal them.

The reality TV personality has had breast augmentation and a butt lift in the past. She also previously discussed having facial fillers dissolved.
