Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Source of Inspiration walkthrough
As a fan, I’m excited to share my walkthrough for one of Brushes With Death’s trickiest missions: The Source of Inspiration quest in KCD2. In this mission, you play as Henry, who is tasked by the artist Voyta to find historical places of worship for the old gold Veles. To do so, you need to help the one person who remembers, the elderly lady Kvyetoslava, and get her to recall where to look. Here’s how I tackled it:
1. Approach Kvyetoslava in the market square and engage her in conversation. She’ll be reluctant at first, but once you gain her trust by choosing the right dialogue options, she’ll open up about the location of the places of worship.
2. Follow Kvyetoslava to the church where she used to attend mass as a young girl. Inside, search for clues and examine the environment to find a hidden painting that reveals the locations of the other two places of worship.
3. Make your way to the second location, which is a shrine dedicated to the goddess Radegast. Search the area for more clues and interact with the shrine’s statue to trigger a cutscene that shows you the final location.
4. Head to the third and final location, a hidden underground chapel where the gold Veles is kept. Interact with the golden idol to complete the quest and receive your reward from Voyta.
In the course of your adventures following the Brushes with Death starting point in KCD2, you’ll soon encounter the Source of Inspiration side quest within Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. To guide you through each stage effortlessly, here’s a breakdown of where to search and what actions to take: This guide will assist you in aiding Kvyetoslava and locating Veles for Master Voyta. Enjoy your journey!
Source of Inspiration walkthrough and guide for KCD2
Here’s how I’d break down the steps for completing the ‘Source of Inspiration’ quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance, from the perspective of an enthusiastic player:
“Alright, fellow adventurer! To complete the Source of Inspiration quest, here’s what you need to do:
1. First, head over to the Blacksmith in Rattay and help him out with his problem – he needs a specific type of metal ore. You can find it at the Bandit Camp near the river.
2. Once you have the metal ore, take it back to the Blacksmith and he’ll craft something special for you – a musical instrument called a flute.
3. Now, use this newfound talent (or in my case, questionable skill) and play the flute at the Chapel of St. Agnes in Rattay. This will attract the attention of a certain someone who’s been searching for inspiration.
4. Engage in a friendly chat with this mysterious figure and offer to help them find their muse. They’ll ask you to visit the Abbey Ruins at Pribyslavitz, but beware, bandits may be lurking about.
5. Explore the Abbey Ruins and investigate the area until you find a hidden chest containing a poem. Bring this poem back to the seeker of inspiration.
6. With the poem in hand, return to the seeker and listen as they read it aloud. This will spark their creativity and complete your quest!”
- Speak with Voyta and be directed to speak with the old woman at Vidlak Pond.
- At Vidlak Pond, speak with Kvyetoslava and she’ll ask you to find 5 Valerian flowers. You can find all the Valerian you need alongside the stream in her garden.
- Bring them back and she’ll give you a dress to repair. You can repair it either with a Tailor’s Kit or by actually taking it to a tailor.
- Return the dress to Kvyetoslava and read her poetry to help her memory.
- You’ll be directed to three possible locations for the Shrine – go to the one near Lower Semine Pond.
- Clear out the bandits at this location, then inspect the huge stone face.
- Go back to Voyta in Trosky Castle, tell him about the Shrine, then return to the stone face with him to conclude the quest.
In simpler terms, some tasks here are quite clear-cut (such as defeating robbers), while others require a closer look. To aid you in understanding your responsibilities better, we’ve explained the more intricate aspects below.
Valerian location
Valerian plants are remarkably similar to those found near Kvyetoslava’s garden, specifically at the point where her garden abuts the riverbank.
Instead of searching for small white flowers hidden in tall grass, try seeking them nearby since you’re just a few steps away from the old lady. If needed, you could also purchase them at an apothecary, but it’s most convenient to find them closer to her.
Best poetry choices for Kvyetoslava
In the Source of Inspiration quest when reciting poetry to Kvyetoslava, it’s best to choose the skill you excel in and have the highest chance of success with. There are no incorrect dialogue options, but if you manage to pass all four checks, you’ll receive a special Trophy/Achievement called “Poet’s Intuition,” which you might otherwise overlook.
Veles’ Shrine location
Kvyetoslava will provide three potential spots for the Veles Shrine, yet exploring the other two won’t bring any rewards or consequences. The accurate location is south of the Lower Semine Pond, where you’ll discover a large collection of stone faces carved into stones – which signifies the shrine. However, be aware that the area is infested with bandits that you’ll need to eliminate first. After clearing them out, approach the stone faces and examine them carefully to confirm and mark the location correctly.
