David Beckham celebrated his wife Victoria’s 52nd birthday on Friday with a heartfelt message. He reminisced about when he first fell in love with her and playfully referenced a recent viral video of her riding in their Rolls-Royce.
The 50-year-old former soccer player shared a series of heartwarming and funny old photos of his wife, Victoria Beckham (known as Posh Spice), on Instagram.
David shared a photo of Victoria Beckham from the 1996 Spice Girls music video for ‘Say You’ll Be There,’ recalling it as the moment he first fell in love with her. In the video, she wore a tight, black PVC outfit.
He then shared cute childhood photos of Victoria Beckham, including one of her with her father and his famous Rolls Royce.
I was completely captivated watching the recent Netflix documentary! There was this one moment, especially, where Victoria opened up about growing up working class – it really resonated with me and the clip quickly spread everywhere online. It was so powerful to see her share that part of her story.
David was shocked and kept pressing Victoria to tell him what kind of car her father drove her to school. She finally revealed it was a Rolls-Royce.
He followed up his heartfelt message with a beautiful photo of my wife with her amazing parents, Tony and Jackie Adams. It really meant a lot to see them featured!
David also shared a photo from their honeymoon in 1999, showing them happily in love while traveling to the South of France.
He finished his heartfelt message to the mother of four with a birthday wish: ‘Happy Birthday to the one and only Posh Spice! We love you so much and will make sure you have a truly special day. You’re the best wife, mum, friend, and gym partner – you deserve it! Happy Birthday, we love you!’
Romeo was the first of Victoria’s children to post a heartfelt message celebrating her birthday on social media.
Romeo shared a photo of himself with his mom and wrote a sweet birthday message: ‘Happy Birthday, Mom! Love you so much, have a great day @victoriabeckham.’
He also posted a photo of them watching Sir David at a football game when he was a child.
Although Victor Cruz hasn’t publicly acknowledged Victoria Beckham’s birthday, his girlfriend, Jackie Apostel, shared a birthday message online, writing, ‘Haaaaapy birthday @victoriabeckham’.
Thank you for being such an amazing parent to my favorite person. We’re so grateful for your kindness and inspired by how you live your life. I love you very much!
Victoria’s Spice Girls bandmate, Mel B, also posted a birthday message, writing: ‘Happy Birthday, Vic! Sending you so much love!’
Her company also celebrated her birthday with a post featuring a video of her, accompanied by the message: ‘Happy birthday to @VictoriaBeckham, our Founder and Creative Director!’
Kim Turnbull, Romeo’s girlfriend, wished Victoria Beckham a happy birthday, expressing gratitude for the joy she brings and sharing her affection: ‘Happy birthday @victoriabeckham. Thank you for the constant laughs and everything you do – we love you!’
Just before her birthday, Victoria spoke about the distance between her oldest son, Brooklyn, and the rest of the family.
She insisted that she and husband David have always ‘tried to protect and love our children’.
In a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal, the Spice Girl discussed her connection with Brooklyn.
Despite previously avoiding mentioning him by name, the 51-year-old mother of four has now publicly addressed their long-running conflict for the first time.
She paused, clearly emotional, and said, ‘We adore our children. We’ve always done our best to be good parents.’
We’ve been in the public spotlight for over 30 years, and throughout it all, our main focus has always been to love and protect our children. That’s really all I want to share about this.
In January, 27-year-old Brooklyn publicly announced he was cutting off contact with his parents. In a social media post, he stated he doesn’t want to repair their relationship and claimed they had controlled him throughout his life.
