You can now watch season two of the dark drama Arcadia on Channel 4 in the UK. It’s currently featured in the ‘new and trending’ section of the streaming service.
I’m really hooked on this new sci-fi show! It takes place in a place called Arcadia, and it’s seriously creepy. Everything seems perfect on the surface, but it’s all based on this social score system. Basically, if your score isn’t high enough, you’re completely shut out – it’s a really unsettling idea.
The second season explores the perils of the Outer World, and a key character finds themselves wrongly accused of murder.

You can watch the show in Flemish with English subtitles. It’s also known for being a costly production for the area.
The movie Arcadia hasn’t been widely reviewed by critics, but users on IMDb have given it an average rating of 6.4 out of 10 based on 1,700 reviews.

A reviewer gave the work a 7 out of 10, highlighting that the story gets increasingly suspenseful and ends with a major cliffhanger that’s very satisfying.
Honestly, the game looks amazing. The sets, costumes, and everything around you are really well done. And I love that they went with an 80s tech vibe – it just makes the whole thing look even cooler and adds a lot to how it’s filmed.

Okay, so I just read another review, and it sounds like the acting isn’t amazing, but the story itself is actually really enjoyable! What I really loved hearing is that it’s a Dutch-language dystopian story – it’s so cool to see something like that made in my own language. Apparently, it’s not breaking any new ground with the plot, but it’s solid and well-made, not just relying on cheap scares. It sounds like the creators really cared about making everything – the world, the look, and the story – all fit together nicely, without being over the top.
Reading it instantly brought The Handmaid’s Tale to mind. I soon became captivated by the story’s complexity and how the characters grew and changed. What I especially appreciated was that none of them were simply good or evil – they were all realistically flawed.
A Google review, which is no longer available, previously highlighted the story as captivating and the actors as brilliant, according to this article.
I recently checked out this show called Arcadia. It was made by Philippe De Schepper, who also wrote it with some help, and the main actors are Gene Bervoets and Monic Hendrickx. The first season came out in 2023, and they just aired the second season in Belgium last year – I’m hoping it comes to other places soon!
Both seasons of Arcadia are available to stream now on Channel 4.
The latest issue of Living Legends is available now! This special 100-page, full-color magazine celebrates the life and work of Sir David Attenborough. You can find it at newsstands or order it online.
