Lisa Hochstein, known from “The Real Housewives of Miami,” is facing a felony charge related to accusations of illegally monitoring her former spouse.
Nancy Hochstein, 43, and her ex-partner, Jody Glidden, 52, have been charged with a crime for illegally recording private conversations of Leonard “Lenny” Hochstein, the ex-husband of a Miami woman.
According to NBC Miami, reality star Hochstein surrendered to authorities at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami-Dade County on Wednesday morning. Her bail was originally set at $5,000, but she was released without having to pay it later that day. NBC asked Hochstein how her time in jail was as she was leaving.
Jayne Weintraub, Hochstein’s lawyer, accompanied the reality star and stepped in to answer questions for him, responding with a simple, “Five stars!”
Hochstein repeated, “Yes, five stars.”
Alexis Glidden, known from “Real Housewives,” was arrested on April 12th and has since been released. Both Glidden and Daniel Hochstein have entered not guilty pleas. Hochstein’s court appearance is scheduled for April 20th.
Television
This month marks the 20th anniversary of the show’s first episode, and we’re taking a look back at how the producer and the people around him created a huge world of reality television.
Police documents obtained by People magazine show that Lisa Hochstein and her friend, Michelle Glidden, are accused of putting a recording device in Leonard Hochstein’s Mercedes-Benz after their difficult breakup in March 2023.
According to reports, Leonard Hochstein let a “Real Housewives” star test drive his car because she was considering buying one. When the car was returned, Hochstein supposedly discovered a hidden recording device taped to the floor on the driver’s side. He contacted his lawyer, who then had experts recover recordings from the device.
According to the legal documents, they found 98 recordings. What really stood out to me was one of the last ones – it seemed to capture Lisa Hochstein and Glidden talking, and you could clearly hear something like a hidden recorder being moved around, almost like someone was trying to hide it.
Reportedly, Hochstein is heard saying “done.” The warrant also indicates that Glidden purchased two identical recording devices from Amazon three months earlier.
I was completely stunned watching Season 5 of the show when Leonard Hochstein accidentally revealed he was having an affair and intended to divorce his wife! It was a shocking moment, not just for viewers like me, but clearly for his wife as well. The whole thing unfolded right there on screen, and it was hard to watch.
Following his divorce, which became official last year, Hochstein shared with Entertainment Tonight that he was feeling very happy. He explained it had been a difficult journey with many challenges, but he was relieved to have moved past it all and was enjoying a positive new chapter.
