Netflix’s “mysterious” new sci-fi series from Stranger Things bosses gets first-look trailer

Good news for fans of Stranger Things! Netflix is releasing a new sci-fi series created by The Duffer Brothers, and the first trailer looks appropriately spooky. Called The Boroughs, the eight-episode drama is directed by Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews and takes place in the New Mexico desert.

I’m so excited that the Duffer Brothers are still involved as executive producers! And the cast they’ve assembled is incredible – seriously, Bill Pullman, Alfred Molina, Alfre Woodard, Clarke Peters, Denis O’Hare, Jena Malone, and Geena Davis? It’s going to be amazing to see them all together.

Not much has been revealed about the new show, but a recently released trailer offers fans a sneak peek into the strange and imaginative world of The Boroughs before it premieres on May 21st.

The exciting preview opens with Sam, played by Molina, starting over by moving to The Boroughs, a beautiful retirement community.

The seemingly perfect facade of The Boroughs quickly begins to fall apart, and Sam joins forces with a surprising team of senior citizens to battle a supernatural danger.
