Skill
In simpler terms, Anaxa’s ability is a “scattershot attack,” which initially hits one opponent but then targets four random other opponents as well. This might seem unusual for an Erudition unit, given their usual emphasis on area-of-effect damage. However, the skill specifically chooses enemies that haven’t been hit yet in its sequence.
In a battle with five adversaries, each enemy will be struck just once. If only one enemy is targeted, all strikes will hit the same foe. To make it even more potent, Anaxa experiences an increase in damage percentage according to the number of enemies present. This can reach as high as 100% in a situation with five opponents on the battlefield.
In both wide area and focused attacks, Anaxa’s abilities are equally potent. Furthermore, when an enemy is in the “Qualitative Disclosure” state (which he induces with his talent), Anaxa can launch a bonus skill for free after executing a basic attack or skill. This effectively doubles his damage, all without spending additional skill points.

In simpler terms, when Anaxa uses her ultimate move, it puts all opponents into a temporary state called ‘Sublimation’, causing damage and applying every possible weakness they have. His unique ability causes fear in nearby enemies prior to combat, making attacked foes act as if they were weak to Anaxa’s element.
In simpler terms, Anaxa passes on its own vulnerabilities to every opponent, thereby activating its mechanism for accumulating weaknesses quickly. This feature is particularly handy in the game mode called Apocalyptic Shadow, where bosses come with four inherent weaknesses from the start. By engaging in combat alongside an ally of a distinct element, Anaxa can instantly initiate Qualitative Disclosure, amplifying its attack power and triggering its additional skill effect immediately.

- Roaming Signifier: Grants an extra 10 energy when using a basic attack, matching the energy gain from Anaxa’s skill and allowing him to maintain energy efficiency whether he plays as a sub-DPS or main DPS. Additionally, if no enemies are under Qualitative Disclosure at the start of his turn, he regenerates 30 energy, compensating for the lack of follow-up skills in early waves.
- Imperative Hiatus: If Anaxa’s the only Erudition unit, he gains a massive 140% CRIT DMG boost. If there’s another Erudition ally, he instead provides a 50% DMG increase to the entire team. This ensures he remains strong in either role without being overly restrictive.
- Qualitative Shift: Grants ignore DEF based on the number of different weaknesses an enemy has, stacking up to 28% for a significant damage boost.

He performs optimally with extra energy resources. Bronya, on the other hand, makes an excellent partner due to her ability to grant SPD buff and action advance. This empowers Anaxa to dish out high damage while switching turns swiftly.
Remembrance MC harmonizes effectively thanks to Anaxa’s ability to boost himself, transforming his high damage into colossal True Damage bursts. Lastly, Sparkle is a reliable choice for the base speed version of Anaxa, although her buffs (CRIT Damage and Physical Damage%) slightly overlap with his self-buffs.
Sub-DPS for The Herta (Best Synergy)
As a seasoned gamer, I’d say Anaxa shines brightest among The Herta’s alternative DPS choices, particularly in situations with 1 to 3 targets. However, when it comes to larger groups, she tends to face a bit of a challenge.
Anaxa produces a substantial amount of energy for every turn in battle, particularly when facing multiple opponents, outperforming both Jade and Serval in terms of consistency. Moreover, Anaxa assists The Herta in breaking through enemy defenses more effectively, thereby enhancing her overall damage potential.
Because he’s a Sub-DPS, he uses his basic attack combined with his free skill to produce energy without using additional skill points. Unlike Jade who shines in area of effect combat, Anaxa compensates for The Herta’s weakness in single-target or elite-heavy battles. Although The Herta is his optimal partner, Anaxa can also collaborate effectively with Himeko and Jade.
Is Anaxa worth pulling in HSR
