How To Get Waterwalk Boots In Oblivion Remastered
In The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered, you’ll find an array of distinct spells to cast, making them enjoyable to tinker with. This is one of the reasons why certain gamers specialize in enhancing their magical abilities and opt for a Mage character setup. These spells can significantly modify your gameplay experience and occasionally unleash astonishingly potent results.
In the enchanting realm of Oblivion Remastered, I stumbled upon one of those captivating spells – walking on water! It’s a rare gem that doesn’t surface often, making it quite elusive for newcomers like myself. But fret not, for there are not one but two accessible methods to activate this spell effect without draining your resources or demanding too much of you.
How To Get The Sea Stride Spell With Walk On Water In Oblivion Remastered
As a gamer diving into the world of Oblivion Remastered, here’s how I’d walk on water: “First off, there’s no swimming here – it’s all about the spells! The easiest way to get that Walk on Water effect is by snagging Sea Stride. This spell is already pre-built, but remember, it’ll cost you more than just a few gold coins. To buy it, I’ve got to reach the Apprentice level at least, and boost my Intelligence skill – the higher, the better!
To buy Sea Stride, make your way to Cheydinhal, a city east of Imperial City. Upon entering through the western gate, turn right immediately. The first structure you’ll see on your left is the Mages Guild building. It’s best to visit this building after noon, as the vendor’s trading option isn’t available until later in the day.
Upon entering the building, locate a man known as Trayvond the Redguard. If it’s the right time of day, you’ll notice an option for buying spells, usually found beneath dialogue options. Now, initiate trade with him and consider purchasing Sea Stride. Initially priced at 248 Gold coins, you can negotiate the price down to approximately 200 coins if you choose to improve his favorability towards you first.
After acquiring the spell (and ensuring your character level allows usage), use the spell prior to stepping into water. This will enable you to walk on water for a duration of thirty seconds without any constraints. As long as Magicka remains, the spell can be recast before the 30 seconds elapse, allowing continuous walking on water.
How To Get Waterwalking Boots In Oblivion Remastered
If you’re not at the Apprentice level or prefer not to specialize in a Mage build, there’s an alternative means to walk on water. However, this approach carries certain repercussions. This time, venture towards Bravil, which lies south of the Imperial City.
Be aware that you need to be Level 9 or above; otherwise, this method will not work.
Alright, let’s make our way to Aleron Loche’s residence. Before you engage in conversation with the woman inside, remember to manually save your game. This step is crucial.
Speak to the woman and inquire about Aleron Loche to get the “Caught in the Hunt” quest. A new marker will appear on your map directing you to interact with Kurdan gro-Dragol. However, instead of conversing with him, you’ll want to eliminate him. This is because Kurdan gro-Dragol is the NPC who carries Waterwalking Boots as loot. So, defeat him and inspect his belongings for the boots. If the boots aren’t there, reload your save and try again.
Repeat attempting the mission until character Kurdan eventually appears, equipped with Waterwalking Boots at Level 9; it might require up to 5 tries before he correctly spawns with the desired boots.
Should you eliminate Kurdan, the operation won’t succeed. The prize in Caught in the Hunt isn’t particularly enticing, but this mission is crucial for opening the gates of Fort Grief. Inside this fort are two Shadowbanish Wine bottles that players can transport to Nerussa and earn 100 Gold for each bottle. It won’t hinder your progression, but if you acquire Waterwalking Boots through this method, the fort will stay sealed off for you.
