It appears that the Elder Scrolls series isn’t content with simply launching Oblivion Remastered this week; it’s also preparing a substantial update for The Elder Scrolls Online. Update 46 is already available on Public Test Servers and will be made accessible to the public soon.

Among the major enhancements in the latest version, you’ll find the integration of the Inkwell System as part of the core gameplay. Here’s a rundown of the key details.

How Will Scribing Be Made Free in The Elder Scrolls Online?

From April 28, 2025, you’ll find the Scribing feature available for purchase in the Crown Store. Alternatively, it could be claimed as a reward within the Golden Pursuit. Both methods will grant you access to this feature.

As a gamer, I want to mention that from June through July, there’ll be a brief hiatus where I won’t be able to buy or use this gaming system, according to the recent updates.

From June to July, we’ll roll out Update 46 and shift the Gold Road zone into ESO Plus and the Crown Store. However, if you don’t already have Scribing, you won’t be able to buy or gain access to it during this period.
