The trailer for the new Insidious movie, Out of the Further, is out now, but fans are jokingly advised to wait and watch it after their next dental check-up! The sixth film in the Insidious series features Amelia Eve, who you might recognize from The Haunting of Bly Manor on Netflix.
I was so excited to hear they’re making another Insidious movie! After Insidious: The Red Door did so well last year – it actually became the biggest movie in the whole series, making almost $189 million around the world – I couldn’t wait to see what they’d come up with next. It’s called Out of the Further, and I’m really hoping it lives up to the last one!
Eve plays Gemma, a mother raising her daughter in the house she grew up in, and she unexpectedly finds she can enter a strange, alternate world called The Further.

The movie follows Gemma as she unlocks a dangerous power: not only can she travel to a terrifying alternate dimension called The Further, but she can also pull things from it into our world, after something evil starts pursuing her.
“Once the demons realise her power, our world becomes their playground.”
What to Read Next
This is the first time in the Insidious series that the demons from The Further are able to cross over into the real world.
The trailer opens with a frightening scene at the dentist’s office, and quickly reveals that Gemma is haunted by nightmares which are upsetting her daughter.
Soon, Lin Shaye’s character, Elise Rainier, explains to Gemma that what she’s experiencing isn’t dreaming. Elise reveals Gemma has a special and unusual ability: she can enter a dangerous realm called The Further and, unintentionally, pull demons into our world, trapping them here forever.
With Gemma questioning her ability to stay in control, the movie relies heavily on jump scares, and demons seem to be lurking around every corner.
