The 88-year-old actor needed a walking stick for support as he walked, and he held his 72-year-old wife’s hand for added stability.

The veteran gay rights advocate, wearing comfortable clothes like sweatpants and a jacket, briefly linked arms with his partner of since 1985, Altman.

Altman dressed more formally, wearing a purple button-down shirt with jeans and a tan blazer.

This public appearance happens almost two years after George Takei shared the key to their enduring marriage, which began in 2008.
