In more recent times, Skyrim has become one of the beloved games of this era, yet it was Oblivion that brought The Elder Scrolls series to unprecedented levels back in 2006. There have been whispers suggesting a complete remake of this classic RPG may be under consideration.

He mentioned that there have been whispers suggesting April, and since it’s already April, he believes the release could happen any day this month.

He added that there might be an unexpected announcement about the remake, prior to its release, instead of a spontaneous launch – but he’s not aware of any news on this topic so far.

Regarding the appearance of an Oblivion remake, information that has been disclosed suggests it won’t merely be a straightforward upgrade with better graphics. Instead, it seems to offer a more substantial transformation.

According to a source who used to work at Virtuos and is reportedly involved in the project, they have revealed that it will undergo a complete overhaul using Unreal Engine 5, aiming to give it the feel of a contemporary Role-Playing Game (RPG).

For one, they’re planning to revamp key gameplay mechanics like stamina, sneaking, blocking, and archery. This is music to my ears!
