David Beckham unexpectedly showed up with a birthday cake for his friend Jeremy Clarkson, who was celebrating his 66th birthday in Miami on Saturday.
The 50-year-old former soccer player gave the sweet dessert, decorated with candles and bright icing, to the former ‘Top Gear’ host after they attended a game together at his Inter Miami team’s new Freedom Park Stadium.
Taking to Instagram Jeremy shared a snap with his arm around David who is proudly holding the cake.
The birthday celebrant kept it relaxed with a navy blazer and patterned shirt, while his friend dressed up in a suit to go see his favorite team play against the NYC Red Bulls.
Jeremy shared that a kind stranger he met at a football game in Miami surprised him with a birthday cake.
The TV star and David Beckham are not only friends but also neighbors. The star purchased his property, Diddly Squat, in the Cotswolds in 2008, close to the Beckhams’ home.
David Beckham had plenty of family support at Saturday’s Inter Miami game, with his wife Victoria and sons Romeo and Cruz in the stands cheering him on.
The family looked in good spirits ahead of the clash which eventually concluded in a 2-2 draw.
David Beckham, a co-owner of Inter Miami, looked sharp in the team’s blazer, worn with a white shirt and tie.
Victoria Beckham, known as Posh Spice, looked relaxed in a simple white t-shirt while talking with friends in the VIP area.
The fashion designer was soon joined by her youngest son, Cruz, who stood out in a bright orange and patterned shirt.
The musician, whose band The Breakers is coming to the US for their first tour later this year, was seen without his girlfriend, Jackie Apostel.
David and Victoria Beckham were joined by their son, Romeo, at a game held at the new Nu Stadium at Miami Freedom Park. Romeo wore a white T-shirt and beige pants.
The model wore a bright pink winter hat and completed the look with a silver chain necklace and a silver chain attached to his pants.
It is unknown whether David and Victoria’s daughter Harper was in attendance at the game.
David and Victoria Beckham were recently seen out together shortly after their son, Brooklyn, showed his wife, Nicola Peltz, a lot of affection with flowers and handwritten letters following their anniversary celebration.
Brooklyn, age 27, and his wife recently celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary, and it seems he used the event to subtly criticize his family, from whom he is currently estranged.
Nicola, 31, shared on social media Saturday that her husband, who owns a hot sauce company, continues to treat her very well.
Okay, so she finally reposted something! It was from Brooklyn, and it was the most amazing thing – a huge, seriously massive bouquet of white roses. And get this – there were actual love letters tucked right into the flowers! I’m losing it, it’s so romantic and… everything! I’ve been screenshotting everything, obviously.
He wrote, ‘Happy anniversary, Nicola Peltz Beckham! I love you with all my heart and can’t wait to grow old with you. I love you so much!’
Just a moment later, Brooklyn playfully leaned from the driver’s seat to surprise Nicola with more flowers and a coffee.
She shared a photo of him smiling and wrote: ‘Flowers and love letters are the best! I love you so much, Brooklyn Peltz Beckham.’
