Oy vey, Wyoming, that state with more cows than people, is launching a stablecoin! 🐮 Apparently, it’ll be ready by July. Governor Mark “Howdy Doody” Gordon (probably not his real name) says they’ve partnered with LayerZero, some kinda fancy-schmancy tech thingamajig.
Speaking at the DC Blockchain Summit – a place I’m sure is filled with yuks – Gordon boasted that Wyoming’s been all over blockchain like white on rice. And get this, they’ve been “efficient”! Efficient? In government? That’s funnier than a rubber chicken! 🤣

Some guy named Anthony Apollo – I’m not making this up! – who’s the executive director of the Wyoming Stable Token Commission (oy, what a title!), says they’ve already launched the thing on test networks. So, you know, it might actually happen! Maybe. Don’t hold your horses… or your cows. 🐴
Apollo, that Greek god of stablecoins, also says LayerZero is the only partner for this whole shebang. Wyoming, bless their hearts, is like the Disney World for crypto, all thanks to Senator Cynthia Lummis, who probably wears a blockchain necklace. ✨
Back in ’22, they passed the “Wyoming Stable Token Act”. I’m picturing a musical number. This act allows them to create a stablecoin backed by good ol’ US dollars. Real money! Not Monopoly money! 💵 This team manages and evolves the coin. Evolve? Is it gonna turn into a Charizard? 🔥
Governor Gordon, who hates the “too big to fail” banks (join the club!), wanted this stablecoin in Q1 of 2025. It’ll be backed by short-term US T-Bills. So, super safe! Unless the government runs out of money, then… kaput! 💥
And get this: Apollo wants Wyoming’s entire budget on the blockchain! Talk about transparency! You’ll know exactly how much they’re spending on rubber chickens. 🐔
