How to Forge the Best Artian Weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds
Without a doubt, one essential component of every adventurer’s gear in Monster Hunter Wilds is their preferred weapon. Many weapons are fashioned from pieces of slain monsters, while others can be created using artifacts from times long past.
In Monster Hunter Wilds, each of the 14 distinct weapon types offers a versatile crafting system with numerous possibilities. For instance, a basic weapon such as the Iron Tree can evolve into something akin to Lala Barina’s arsenal. While crafting these weapons, their inherent traits remain constant and are not subject to external alteration. This is where Artian Weapons come into play, serving as some of the most powerful tools in the game. Here’s a guide on how to forge the top-tier Artian Weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds.
What are Artian Weapons, and How Do You Make Them in Monster Hunter Wilds?
Artian Weapons are player-crafted replicas of the 14 weapons found in Monster Hunter Wilds. Players can personally select the traits for these weapons and enhance their power via a randomized upgrade system. To create an Artian Weapon, you first need to gather Artian Pieces, which are obtained by completing specific quests.
For the first time, players will encounter “Artian Pieces” when they face their initial tempered monster in the endgame storyline. Upon successful completion, you’ll receive mysterious symbols with a question mark, which transform into random “Artian Parts”. After this mission, any quest that involves a tempered monster will offer “Artian Pieces” as a reward. These icons are clearly marked in the quest rewards before you accept them, and quests with more Artian Piece icons mean more pieces to collect from that particular quest. The rarity of these pieces is influenced by the star rank of the quest; for example, quests rated 6 stars or lower award Rarity 6 “Artian Pieces”, whereas quests rated 7 stars or higher yield Rarity 8 pieces.

Once you’ve secured at least one Artian Passport, you’ll find that two fresh tabs have appeared on your Gemma interface labeled:
1. Tab 1
2. Tab 2
- Forge Artian Weapon
- Reinforce/Dismantle Artian Weapon
To create an Artian Weapon from the ground up, you’ll need the appropriate components based on the weapon style you desire. There are four basic types of components: blades, tubes, discs, and devices. Every one of the 14 available weapons will necessitate a unique combination of these elements. For instance, a “Dual Blades” weapon would require two blades and one disc, whereas a “Sword and Shield” set requires a blade, a tube, and a disc.
Each component will come with a specific
The Artian Bonus manifests in two ways: either as an Attack Boost or an Affinity Boost. If all three components of a weapon share the same bonus, it will emphasize that particular aspect of the weapon. Using a combination of these bonuses can lead to a well-balanced overall weapon.

After creating your preferred Artian Weapon, it can be enhanced to boost its capabilities. Each Artian Weapon can be enhanced up to 5 times. To accomplish this, you’ll need specific enhancement materials that accumulate a total of 3000 points to take your Artian weapon to the next level. These materials are:
- Drearisite (20 points)
- Specklite (100 points)
- Argecite (200 points)
- Oricalite (300 points)
Reinforcement will provide your weapon with a random Reinforcement Bonus. These bonuses are:
- Affinity Boost
- Attack Boost
- Sharpness Boost
- Element Boost
As a gamer, I find that the type of weapon I choose and how I’ve built my character around it determines the usefulness of each boost. If I’m aiming for an elemental-focused build, then I need to primarily seek out Elemental Boost upgrades.
On your Artian Weapons, the reinforcement bonus you receive is not predictable as it’s randomly selected each time a weapon is reinforced. Once chosen, the bonus cannot be altered or reversed.

Not every player will find success immediately when reinforcing their first Artian Weapons. Fortunately, these weapons can be disassembled whenever needed, and you’ll receive a full refund of all the reinforcement materials that were used on that particular Artian Weapon. Although it won’t return the Artian Pieces required to create a new weapon altogether, it does help in accumulating more materials for reinforcing future weapons. This process allows players to maximize their chances of acquiring the ideal Artian Weapon with the optimal reinforcements tailored to their gameplay style.
