Tom Holland recently revealed some interesting news. With the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day movie, he’ll have starred in four Spider-Man films total. He’s already completed a trilogy, and this new movie essentially starts a new set of agreements. Fans of both Spider-Man and the Marvel Cinematic Universe clearly enjoyed his first three films.
Even though he’s been in several of Christopher Nolan’s films, the actor says his experience with the newest one is unlike any other. After appearing in four of Nolan’s movies, he’s found a new personal favorite, and audiences may feel the same way eventually.
Tom Holland shared on Instagram how proud he is of the movie, admitting it might be his favorite yet, though he acknowledges he’s probably biased.
He believes the movie will be a fantastic and surprising experience, calling it an incredible Spider-Man film and praising Destin’s work as tremendous.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day Is Tom Holland’s ‘Favorite One’
This makes Spider-Man: Brand New Day Holland’s favorite Spider-Man movie. It surpasses his first film, which famously brought back Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man versions from different universes – a return that fans were excited for, but still surprising.
I’m really excited about the newest entry! It feels like a return to the gritty, grounded stories I loved from the start. We finally get to see Tom Holland’s Spider-Man face off against Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, which has been a dream for ages! Plus, Michael Mando is back as Scorpion, and they’ve added Sadie Sink from Stranger Things – she might be playing Jean Grey, which is huge! And Krondon is joining as Tombstone, too. There’s just so much to look forward to!
The story picks up after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, where Doctor Strange erased everyone’s memories, making them forget Peter Parker’s secret identity – even his close friends MJ (Zendaya) and Ned (Jacob Batalon).
Added Spider-Man: Brand New Day Film Shoots Are ‘Icing’
Tom Holland praised his co-stars, Jon Bernthal, Zendaya, and Jacob Batalon, calling them all amazing. He also said everyone involved in the movie did a fantastic job and he’s excited for audiences to see it.
Even with the movie scheduled to come out in just three months, filming is still ongoing to make sure it perfectly matches the vision of Tom Holland and director Destin Daniel Cretton. Holland describes the process as “really fun” and emphasizes that they aren’t feeling rushed.
Why? Because nothing they’re filming right now would delay the film’s release.
You know, talking to the director, he really feels like the core of the film is already solid. He put it perfectly – we don’t need any of the extra stuff we’re working on. He thinks the movie is great as is, and what we’re doing now is just polishing it, adding those little details that make it even better. Basically, we’re just adding the finishing touches.
According to Holland, the recent Spider-Man: Brand New Day is the highlight of his decade playing the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, starting with Captain America: Civil War. He believes audiences are about to experience something truly special with what Peter Parker is up to.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to arrive in theaters on July 31, 2026.
