Where to get Parashroom – Monster Hunter Wilds

In the game Monster Hunter Wilds, the Parashroom item is crucial for creating several valuable items and ammunition. However, these helpful mushrooms are not easy to find as they grow in limited locations. You’ll only discover them sprouting in a few regions, and even within those areas, there aren’t many harvestable spots, with Scarlet Forest being one of the rare places where you can gather them.

Parashrooms grow in:

  • Windward Plains Areas 3 and 13
  • Scarlet Forest Areas 6,7,8, and 12
  • Oilwell Basin Areas 1 and 12
  • Ruins of Wyveria Areas 6 and 9

As a high-ranking gamer, when I’ve established Nata as my trusty village liaison, I sometimes manage to persuade him to get the villagers to farm Parashrooms for me using the Material Retrieval option. To make this happen, Rysher and Sabar are the ones who put in the legwork.

As a devoted admirer, I should mention that there’s a slim possibility of finding a Parashroom upon vanquishing a Piragill within the Scarlet Forest region. However, given how minuscule this probability is, it’s advisable not to pin too much hope on this strategy.

Monster Hunter Wilds: Parashroom farming tips

To quickly locate Parashrooms, activate the icon filter on your game map, then search for Parashrooms and make this location your waypoint by setting it as an item. Don’t forget to have an item with Botanist IV skill equipped. The Botanist skill enhances the number of items you gather when harvesting herbs or similar items, and with Botanist IV, you’ll get an additional mushroom each time you harvest a mushroom. Though you already receive two mushrooms without this skill, using it will help you collect many in one go.

If you wish to gather Parashrooms immediately following your last collection, initiate a mission to naturally regenerate them instead.

As a gamer, I always ensure to snag some Parashrooms whenever I venture into the wilds. These mushrooms are essential for crafting tranq bombs, which come in handy for capturing elusive creatures, and thunder ammo, perfect for exploiting enemies’ elemental weaknesses.
