Monster Hunter Wilds: Capture a Sandstar Location (Samin’s Special Research Report)
In order to finish “Samin’s Special Research Report” mission in Monster Hunter Wilds, locate a Sandstar and catch it on behalf of Samin.
The Sandstar is an extraordinary miniature creature, known for its distinctive features. This small, blue-hued rodent inhabits desolate landscapes and possesses a unique ability to light up with a soft blue radiance from its fur. This luminescence earned it the name “Sandstar.” Catching one can be quite challenging as they swiftly scamper away at the slightest hint of human presence, so careful preparation is essential.
In this guide, we’ll tell you how to easily find and catch Sandstars for Samin’s quest line.
Capture a Sandstar Location | Samin’s Special Research Report Quest
As a dedicated Monster Hunter Wilds enthusiast, I recently discovered that “Samin’s Personal Field Study” is the concluding quest in the Endemic Life series. To wrap this up, you need to find a Sandstar in a designated spot and capture it. The journey begins by engaging with Samin at the Windward Plains Base Camp, following the completion of “Dareel’s Personal Field Study.
Gladly, the Sandstar can be located within the Windward Plains region itself. After chatting with Samin, head towards the Oasis close to Area 13. It’s quite nostalgic given that your initial mission in this quest chain involved capturing a Tracktail Lizard exactly there!
As a gamer, here’s how I would put it: “Right now, remember that Sandstars only appear under the cover of darkness. If it’s not nighttime yet, you can spend 300 Guild Points to rest at a Camp and fast-forward through the day.
As a fan, I’d put it this way: “Remember, Sandstars will scurry off at your sight. To prevent that, carry Screamer Pods with you. If you don’t own any yet, find them among the flying Baunos creatures lurking around the Oasis.
When you’re all set, venture around the Area 13 Oasis during the nighttime hours in search of a Sandstar. This creature appears as a soft, blue rodent-like entity and is particularly recognized for its luminescent blue appearance. The image provided offers an example of what they typically look like.
When you come across the Sandstar, aim a Screamer Pod at it to momentarily disable it. Swiftly move in and trap it using your Capture Net, much like how you’ve trapped other small creatures during this quest trail. Now, you only need to head back to Samin to complete the quest!
Here’s what you need to learn about finding a Sandstar and capturing it for “Samin’s Special Research Report” in Monster Hunter Wilds. Once you’ve completed this task, you will have finished the Endemic Life quest chain.
