In Monster Hunter Wilds, the Seikret, a bird-like mount, serves as your primary means of travel through the Forbidden Lands. With its remarkable agility and self-navigating abilities, the Seikret becomes an indispensable partner for hunting. To make it uniquely yours, this guide provides all the information required to customize your Seikret in Monster Hunter Wilds.

How to Unlock Seikret Customization

Upon receiving your mount, Seikret customization won’t be available right away. Instead, you’ll need to advance through the story to unlock all customization options. Start by completing the main quest “Pursuit of Solitude,” during which you’ll defeat the Alpha Doshaguma and save Kunafa from Windsong Village.

After that, chat with Nona, who resembles Kunafa (the girl pursued by Balahara in the opening), and choose the dialogue option “I’d like to personalize my Secret.” Following this conversation, you will permanently gain the ability to customize your Secret from any base camp or tent through the Appearance Menu.

Where to Customize Your Seikret

You have the ability to personalize your Seikret in two different spots. One choice is at any Base Camp. To do this, just step into your tent at any base camp, pop-up camp, or campsite, then find the Appearance Menu (symbolized by an icon resembling a head located on the far right side), and choose “Seikret Customization.

You could choose to drop by Kunafa Village during the day to meet Nona since she’s not accessible at night because she’s asleep. Once there, feel free to ask for personalizing your Seikret.

Available Customization Options

The Seikret customization system offers various options to personalize your mount:

Physical Appearance:

  • Skin Color: Adjust the base color of your Seikret’s skin
  • Inner Feather Color: Change the color of the inner feathers
  • Outer Feather Color: Modify the color of the outer feathers
  • Pattern Thickness: Adjust how pronounced the feather patterns appear
  • Pattern Color: Change the color of the feather patterns
  • Pattern Transparency: Control how visible the patterns are
  • Eye Color: Change your Seikret’s eye color
  • Edit Right Eye: Toggle to customize each eye independently
  • Right Eye Color: Set a different color for the right eye if desired

Equipment and Accessories:

  • Decoration Type: Change the saddle, reins, and armor style
  • Pendant Type: Add decorative pendants that hang from the saddle
  • Name: Give your Seikret a custom name

How to Get More Decorations and Pendants

As you advance through the game, you’ll gain access to extra customization features. Speaking with Nata after finishing chapter three of the main storyline and completing your tasks there, will provide you with additional pendant choices. Engaging in side quests within Kunafa once you reach a high rank (such as “High-Quality Materials” or “A Leviathan’s Temper”) will grant you more options for decorating.

Special versions and additional content offer unique customization options. The Deluxe Edition comes with the “Soldier’s Caparison” decoration, while the Premium Deluxe Edition offers both the “Soldier’s Caparison” and “General’s Caparison” decorations. If you participated in the beta test and claimed rewards, you can use the Stuffed Felyne Teddy as a pendant. Further secret cosmetics are planned to be launched with upcoming DLC packs, such as Cosmetic DLC Pack 1 (Spring 2025) and Cosmetic DLC Pack 2 (Summer 2025).
