Within the Monastery, you may choose to chat with Brother Morticus, initiating the ‘Thou Art But Dust’ side quest. This mission requires you to gather and clean bones within the chapel, then arrange them into pyramids.

Step into the chapel when you’re ready to reach the trapdoor, which allows interaction. This triggers a scene where you plummet through the trapdoor into the crypt beneath. Once the scene concludes, move through the eastern doorway, and you’ll find yourself in a room with a sarcophagus at its end. Interacting with it opens it, revealing a body inside. Alas, no swords are to be found here. However, examining the lid of the sarcophagus is necessary to fulfill your objective.

You’ll find all the materials needed for crafting, with the exception of the Straight Sword Guard, can be obtained from any blacksmith. However, to acquire the Guard specifically, you must visit a Swordsmith.

After gathering all necessary items, feel free to approach any blacksmith’s workshop and initiate the process of crafting your longsword. To ensure its proper shape, you’ll want to hammer it evenly along both edges.

Returning The Sword And Dealing With The Soldier In The Reliquary Task

As I clutch my newfound sword, I find myself back in the presence of the Humble Knight. Little did I know, this man isn’t as innocent as he seems; he’s actually peddling these magical items! To keep his secret safe, he challenges me to a duel. A quick wit and clever words might just save me from this fight, earning me the St. Appolonia’s Tooth as a reward. But if I’m after his valuable items and top-notch armor, it’d be wiser to take him on. Those treasures could fetch quite a sum in Groschen.

As soon as the fight kicks off, mission accomplished! If you’re not in the mood for a tussle, you can always flee on your steed instead. Once you’ve taken care of him, head over to the storage box nearby to gather some extra Groschens and another sparkling piece of bling.
