Once players in Monster Hunter Wilds finish Chapters 3-5, they will reach the ending credits of the game. However, this doesn’t signify the end of the game entirely; there’s still storyline to explore and new monsters to battle, so don’t worry if you feel that the campaign might be a bit brief.

After completing your final mission alongside Zoh Shia, you will find a fresh Side Quest waiting for you at Alma’s Plains Base Camp upon your return. Seek out Samin who can be found seated in a chair towards the rear of the camp.

Sam has learned that you assisted Dareel in capturing Endemic Life in the Plains for his Research Report quest. Now, he requests your help again, this time focusing on the Scarlet Forest. Specifically, Samin needs you to locate and catch a Dapperwing.

Hey there, fellow gamer! As you may already know, the elusive Dapperwing can only be spotted in the Scaret Forest. But

We successfully spotted a pair of Dapperwings perched on a branch under a bridge, located near the stone path linking Areas 10 and 12 within Scarlet Forest. You may use our images for reference. The specific location is at the northernmost end of this passageway.

When you spot the Dapperwing, feel free to readjust your Capture Net and take a shot to ensnare the creature. To gear up with your Capture Net, utilize the quick select feature, or hold down the left bumper while cycling through options using Square and Circle (on PS5) or X and B (on Xbox). You’ll find it in close proximity to the Fishing Rod, BBQ set, and other items.

Feel free to continue delving into the forest, should that be your choice. Alternatively, you could head back to the plains and have a chat with Samin to wrap up the side mission.
