Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Accounts for Some Seriously Unchivalrous Behaviour
After several weeks, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II has been available to gamers, allowing them to explore the creative possibilities conceived by developers Warhorse Studios in their reactive RPG. The abundance of resolvable quests raised concerns among some designers that their own solutions might remain undiscovered due to the multiple outcomes.
[Spoiler Alert for the main quest, “Taking French Leave”]
In King’s Quest II, I found myself deeply moved by a relatable aspect of Sir Hans Capon’s character: his crippling fear of confined spaces, triggered after being entombed within the ruins of a shattered tower, courtesy of The Finger of God – a devastating cannon. This fear is subtly woven throughout the game, but it reaches its peak during the main quest, French Leave. In this mission, I was once again compelled to save my mentor from his dire predicament, this time from Maleshov Castle’s cold, unyielding clutches.
There are numerous approaches to solving this problem, and the journey may take various paths; one solution appears quite clear, but it had never crossed our minds during gameplay (maybe we’re not mentally unbalanced enough). On the platform X, Warhorse PR manager Tobias Stolz-Zwilling posted a video demonstrating one such direct method called “Instant Cure for Hans’ Claustrophobia,” which, while not completely accurate, is certainly effective.
Hans won’t take kindly to the idea of fleeing through a tight passageway. Alternatively, you could engage in combat (though Hans and Brabant might need some weapons), or slip away unnoticed towards the stables and make a hasty getaway. Or, if you prefer, you could silence Sir Hans and drag him along the tunnel, disregarding any potential long-term harm. And if you do manage to pull off such an act, the game Warhorse will certainly commend you!
