Head directly from Claviger’s Landing in Dawnshore, and you’ll spot Dehengen in an open area, marked by a quest symbol above her head. Engage her in conversation, where she reveals that her home has been invaded by the Xaurips, and the militia is too fearful due to a strange illness to drive them away. Lastly, offer your assistance with this predicament, and she hands you the key to her house.

Starting from here, head towards the Fractured Shore region guided by the quest symbol. Along the path, you’ll come across some hostile Xaurips that you must eliminate. It’s crucial to defeat the Xaurip Elders before their minions, as they empower other Xaurips. Once they’re defeated, cross the bridge and proceed directly to Dehengen’s house. You’ll find a fast-travel point called “Dehengen’s Cottage” close by the house.

Entering Dehengen’s House

1. Use the hidden key that’s located under the flowerpot near the front door.
2. Climb up to the balcony on the second floor and open the window, as it usually isn’t locked.
3. Knock on the back door and wait for someone inside to let you in if they recognize you or hear your voice.

  • You can enter through the front door using the key.
  • Break the obstacles placed at the back of the house and enter through a small hole.
  • You can break a destructible wall on the side of the house and enter through it.

Upon entering, prepare for combat against two additional Xaurips. Overpower them and scavenge any valuable items within the residence. Engage with the mural situated in the central room, where you’ll hold a brief dialogue with Kai.

First, locate Dehengen’s journal in the room on the right side. This journal offers a glimpse into the friendly relationship between Dehengen and one specific Xaurip. Outside, disregard the Xaurip leader who doesn’t seem hostile towards you. After that, make your way back to Claviger’s Landing where you can engage in conversation with Dehengen.

Which Choice To Make With Dehengen in the Cabin Fever Mission in Avowed?
