The game, Avowed, starts off surprisingly tough and if you neglect to enhance your weapons and armor, you’ll soon find yourself stuck with a quest log filled with skulls, indicating that you’re under-equipped. Essentially, it’s a continuous cycle of collecting crafting and upgrade materials, then heading back to camp to boost whatever gear you can afford.
In this game, there are various levels of gear and materials, with their quality linked to your advancement in the storyline. To put it simply, you’ll always find yourself needing to upgrade your gear regularly due to the continuous evolution of the game. Familiarizing yourself with the system will help you avoid wasting time searching for equipment and feeling chronically under-powered. How to upgrade weapons and armour

After every three improvements, the quality of your gear will increase through five levels: common, fine, exceptional, superior, and legendary.
With each subsequent upgrade of your gear, the required materials will increase. To avoid running out of Adra unexpectedly, it’s wise to carefully consider which equipment you wish to prioritize for improvement before making your purchases.
Additionally, you have the ability to imbue special powers into distinct weapons, either enhancing or altering their strength. Should you collect various plants and monstrous remains during your expedition, this is an economical and swift method for incrementally boosting your power level.
How to get upgrade materials
As I traverse through this virtual world, I come across a variety of upgrade materials hidden everywhere – from nearby flora to fabrics and metals stripped off fallen foes. Sometimes, when I need something specific, I’ll visit merchants who offer their unique inventory for sale.
Essentially, materials come with a quality level that matches their grade for upgrading.
