The game “Avowed” is currently available for early access, allowing those with the premium edition to start playing a few days before its official release. Many players have jumped at the opportunity to delve into Obsidian’s latest RPG, and one player has already discovered an entertaining easter egg.

The story centers on the character Kai, who is brought to life vocally by Brandon Keener. If his name (and voice) seem familiar to you, it’s likely because he also provided the voice for Garrus in the Mass Effect series. Intriguingly, Obsidian Entertainment chose to incorporate a nod to one of Keener’s well-known roles, as a fleeting mention of his romance from Avowed can be found within the game.

It’s no wonder that Garrus fans are delighted with Kai thus far, given the chance to listen to that captivating voice once more. Regrettably, Obsidian Entertainment often steers clear of romantic entanglements in their games. However, those who have progressed far enough suggest there’s at least a hint of something with Kai. If not, one can always let their imagination run wild.
