Monster Hunter Wilds launch trailer and post-launch roadmap revealed during State of Play

At Sony’s State of Play event, Capcom unveiled the launch trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds and shared their plans for after-release, which included information about the initial free update featuring Mizutsune.

In Spring 2025, Monster Hunter Wilds will receive its first free update, introducing Mizutsune. A week following its release, Capcom plans to add Event Quests to Monster Hunter Wilds, offering unique armor as rewards. These quests will be time-limited, but specific details are currently unknown from Capcom. The launch trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds additionally featured Jin Dahaad, the pinnacle of the Iceshard Cliffs, and a secretive Rathalos.

Monster Hunter Rise, the latest installment in the series, will be available globally on February 28 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam). In just a few short weeks, the much-anticipated game Monster Hunter Wilds is getting ready to launch, and hunters are gearing up for their adventure into the Forbidden Lands. The official trailer offers a tantalizing sneak peek at the challenges that lie ahead in this ever-changing world. The video showcases Jin Dahaad, the formidable apex predator of the Iceshard Cliffs, and a mysterious Rathalos unlike any other “King of the Skies” hunters have encountered before!

After its launch on February 28th, Monster Hunter Wilds will continue to grow with post-launch content updates. The first significant free Title Update is scheduled for release in Spring 2025 and will welcome back the agile Mizutsune, the dancing Leviathan known for its immobilizing bubbles. Before then, starting a week after launch, Event Quests will be introduced, offering players special armor as rewards.
