Best Empoleon deck build in Pokémon TCG Pocket

If you’re seeking the optimal Empoleon deck setup for the Pokemon Trading Card Game (PTCGO), don’t fret! We’ve got you covered.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve been caught up in the excitement of Space-Time Smackdown, with the Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket edition creating quite a buzz. Many fellow trainers and I have been brainstorming strategies for a deck centered around the powerful water/ice type Pokéon – Empoleon!

Here is our best deck Empoleon deck build in Pokémon TCG Pocket.

All cards in Empoleon Pokémon TCG Pocket deck

Below are the cards needed to build this Empoleon deck in Pokémon TCG Pocket:

Pokémon cards:

  • Piplup x2
  • Prinplup x2
  • Empoleon x2
  • Manaphy x2

Trainer cards:

  • Dawn x2
  • Misty x2
  • Professor’s Research x2
  • Sabrina x2
  • Poke Ball x2
  • Giant Cape x2

This deck distinguishes itself as it lacks EX cards. Initially, it might seem less potent, but its uniqueness lies in the fact that your adversary must knock out three of your Pokémon rather than just two to win.

All Pokémon cards

Initially, it was necessary to incorporate the full ancestral chain for Empoleon in our discussion. This lineage consists of Piplup, Prinplup, and finally Empoleon. Notably, Empoleon boasts a health pool comparable to several EX Pokémon, which is quite impressive. The key move for this penguin-type Pokémon is Aqua Jet, inflicting 80 points of damage but also causing 30 points of damage to one of your adversary’s Benched Pokémon.

And it only costs three Energies.

Nevertheless, swiftly equipping those Energies onto your Empoleon is crucial. To facilitate this process, we’ve added Manaphy into the mix. This card’s ability allows players to transfer an additional Water-type Energy from their Energy pool to one of their benched Pokemon.

All Trainer cards

At dawn, we integrated one of the initial Supporter cards into our Empoleon deck construction, as her skill allows for an additional Water Energy acquisition for your Empoleon. Subsequently, a Misty was incorporated, enabling players to place numerous Water Energies onto their Empoleon based on the number of heads obtained during certain coin tosses.

Professor’s Research and Sabrina were also a must for this deck, as they help out in various ways.

We added the Giant Cape accessory to support a player’s Pokémon’s vitality, since it enhances the Pokémon’s Health Points (HP) by 20.

Lastly, we added the standard Poké Ball card, so players can easily capture a Pipulp or Manaphy.

Strong against

This deck exclusively features Water-type Pokemon, making it extremely powerful against decks centered around Fire-types. An Infernape EX deck would struggle significantly when facing off against the formidable Empoleon.

Weak against

This Empoleon deck has trouble with decks that focus on Electric-type Pokémon. If you’re facing off against this Empoleon deck, a Pikachu EX deck could do well, so keep that in mind.
