Stella Mickunaite and Filip Gregov have become fan favorites on this season of Married At First Sight, and they’re now sharing some details about what’s next for them.
The couple recently told the Daily Mail about their plans for a small, private wedding abroad, and shared which of their colleagues will be invited.
‘All the guys are welcome – honestly, pretty much all the men can come down,’ Filip said.
But when it comes to the brides, Stella admitted the guest list is far more selective.
She said she remained closest to Rachel Gilmore, Alissa Fay, and Bec Zacharia after the experiment ended.
‘I don’t think there’ll be many more on the women’s side.’
The couple announced they’re getting married in Europe, as both of their families live abroad.
‘We always spoke about doing a European wedding,’ Filip explained.
Since we’ve already focused on Australia, it feels right to turn our attention to where the rest of our family is – Croatia and Lithuania.
‘It’ll be something low-key… definitely not on national TV, but who knows.’
In a recent, honest conversation, the couple discussed their surprising engagement, which caught many viewers off guard during the Final Vows ceremony.
Filip shared that he’d been secretly planning the proposal for a while, only confiding in a few close friends and family before he asked the question.
‘Coming into this experiment, I was here to find my person,’ he said.
I went through a long period without a significant romantic relationship. But once I finally felt ready, I stopped overthinking things and fully committed to finding someone.
‘I could see myself being with her forever – so I didn’t overthink it.’
He admitted he only told his parents and best mate before looping in production.
I clearly communicated my vision for the ring to the production team, and they were able to bring it to life surprisingly fast.
For Stella, the moment came as a complete shock.
‘I thought he was joking. I thought he was pulling my leg,’ she said.
‘But I didn’t have any doubt. I knew we were walking out of here together.’
‘I always saw us growing together… that’s what I envisioned in my heart.’
The bride shared that her engagement ring had a hidden meaning, surprisingly reflecting her hopes for the future.
‘I have a vision board in my bedroom with a classic engagement ring on it,’ she said.
‘I don’t think he even realised, but he picked something almost exactly the same.’
‘I couldn’t have chosen better myself.’
Even though many consider them the most successful couple from this season’s show, they say they don’t feel any need to convince anyone their relationship is real.
‘We’re just doing our thing,’ Filip said.
‘Everyone’s going to have an opinion, but we can’t control that.’
‘We just keep doing us.’
Filip shared that their close connection developed both during and outside of filming, and that many of their key experiences weren’t actually shown on television.
‘We had such a full journey – the bad, the ugly… we worked for this relationship,’ he said.
‘A lot of it never saw the light of day because the drama took priority.’
Stella agreed, adding that staying out of the show’s chaos played a key role in their success.
‘We knew what kind of relationship we wanted,’ she said.
Relationships where one person brought others into the dynamic ultimately failed. It’s a straightforward cause and effect.
You know, Filip actually told me he sometimes struggled to fully open up while we were filming. He was worried that if he got too invested, he might accidentally ruin a genuine connection – basically, he didn’t want to mess things up by being too honest or vulnerable.
‘I was all in through my actions,’ he said.
‘But yeah… I kept a few things close to my chest because I didn’t want to mess it up.’
The couple admitted they almost quit the show, but they believe it actually helped them stay together.
Stella confessed that they likely would have stopped working on the project if they hadn’t decided to run the experiment.
‘It forced us to stay and face things… and I’ll always be thankful for that.’
Now living together with their rescue dog, Bobby, the couple are enjoying life and looking forward to starting a family.
‘We’d definitely love to have a family one day,’ Filip said.
‘But right now we’re just riding this wave.’
Channel Nine is reportedly interested in broadcasting the couple’s wedding as a special television event, given the widespread attention their relationship has received.
‘There’s huge interest in Stella and Filip right now,’ a source tells Daily Mail.
‘They’re being positioned as this season’s success story – the couple that actually made it.’
And if a deal is struck, the payday could be enormous.
Jules Robinson and Cameron Merchant are believed to have made between $50,000 and $75,000 from their 2019 TV wedding, but sources suggest they’ve actually earned much more than that.
While the payment for the TV show itself is important, the bigger profits come from related things like merchandise, streaming rights, and other opportunities, according to someone involved in the production.
As a huge fan, I’ve noticed how quickly everything adds up for them! It’s not just the big magazine features, but all the sponsorships, brand partnerships, and the constant work on social media – it really becomes a significant income stream.
Experts believe Stella and Filip could realistically make between $100,000 and $200,000. If they fully launch their product commercially, their earnings could potentially increase to $250,000, $500,000, or even more.
According to one source, if this turns into a major televised event with sponsorships from several brands, it could easily generate around $500,000.
‘It’s not just a wedding anymore. It’s a full media package.’
Right now, Stella and Filip say they’re still prioritizing what initially connected them.
‘At the end of the day, I didn’t come here for the show – I came for my person,’ Filip said.
