Channel Seven Star Kendall Gilding’s Shocking Surgery After Husband’s Beach Accident!
Kendall Gilding is recovering after undergoing major surgery this week.
Previously with Channel Seven, a woman aged 32 disclosed on Wednesday that she had undergone surgery for endometriosis, a condition that caused her pain for a span of two years.
She shared a candid video to her Instagram which captured her before and after the procedure.
She shared that prioritizing oneself can sometimes be a challenge, as she underwent surgery for endometriosis yesterday, including the removal of severe adenomyosis and treatment for varicose veins.
I had the most outstanding laparoscopy experience yet! Find a surgeon who offers gentle reassurance as you drift off to sleep, but also boasts top-tier medical skills in the nation! Many thanks!
Kendall clarified that Endometriosis is a condition where endometrial tissue, typically found within the uterus, grows elsewhere in the body. Adenomyosis, on the other hand, involves the endometrial tissue penetrating the muscle layer of the uterus. Lastly, Varicose veins are often linked to pregnancy and childbirth, particularly vaginal delivery.
In my role as an ambassador for Endometriosis Australia, I’m all too familiar with the fact that this terrible condition has no known cure yet. It affects people without any discrimination.
Over the past two years, this issue has severely affected me. Many people wrongly assume that pregnancy might alleviate it, but in my experience, it only worsened. In fact, the condition deteriorated even more for me following the birth of children.

In endometriosis, tissue resembling the inner lining of the womb develops in places other than the uterus – commonly on the ovaries, fallopian tubes, bladder, or bowels.
Many of Kendall’s friends and followers were quick to send well wishes to the former Seven star.
‘Big hugs. I can’t even imagine how painful endo must be,’ one person wrote.
‘Wow hell of a month or so for you and the family! Here’s to a quick recovery,’ another said.
“I’m really pleased that you had a favorable visit with the doctor, and I hope your recovery goes smoothly! Such times can be quite difficult, but here’s to hoping for minimal lingering discomfort as you move forward.
Last month, Timothy, Kendall’s spouse, suffered severe injuries when he was violently swept onto a sandbar by a strong wave at Burleigh Beach in Queensland.
Emergency responders transported him to the hospital while wearing a neck brace, and at first, doctors were concerned that he might not be able to walk again.
He was taken by paramedics to the hospital with a neck brace on, causing doctors initial worry that he might never walk again.
Or:
Paramedics transported him to the hospital in a neck brace, and doctors initially thought it unlikely that he would be able to walk again.
Later on, Kendall expressed her joy that Tim is expected to completely heal and regain the ability to walk, though she did not provide an estimate as to when he might be discharged from the hospital.
It’s wonderful to see that he can walk, considering many individuals with similar injuries don’t leave here able to do so. With time for his bones to heal, he’ll continue to live a typical life.
Furthermore, it was disclosed by Kendall that Tim found himself unable to bathe or sit upright for extended periods due to his condition. As a result, he received sponge baths instead, since he needed to stay immobile.
She mentioned, “Let’s discuss things that make us laugh. You know Tim detests sand intensely. It’s a struggle to plan an annual beach vacation with the family given his strong dislike for sand.
He carried an overwhelming amount of sand from Burleigh Beach into the hospital when he came in. Upon entering the emergency room, there was a visible trail of sand leading to his bed.
His sleeping area was piled high with sand, preventing him from taking a proper shower for several days. He found it uncomfortable to either sit or stand up straight. However, he did receive some sponge baths as an alternative.
Kendall is particularly recognized for her 12-year tenure as a newscaster on Channel Seven. However, she decided to leave the network in December 2023.
Currently, she works independently and previously collaborated with Seven’s competing network, Channel Nine. This year, she reported on a series of crimes in Brisbane for their morning news program, Today.
Since leaving Seven, Kendall has kept quite busy on social media platforms, endorsing various brands and penning articles for the QWeekend magazine.
Back in 2011, I embarked on my journalism journey, lending my voice to Brisbane’s 96five Family Radio as a presenter. Later that same year, I had the privilege of joining the team at Seven.
